Dear,
I had ordered for a Philips Home Theatre DSP2500 and Philips DVD player DVP3316/3146/3126 (order#440027653) worth Rs. 7,598.00 against ITBC10361386. Later I ordered a Samsung Omnia (order# 440027659) worth Rs. 14,998.00 along with some lucrative offers (which were bull shit) on the same day(April 14, 2010). I had made these transactions through my credit card.
Later wen I tried to see the specifications of the above products online, I found them to be way different from what was promised to me on phone by India Today book club representative. So i immediately called India Today for the confirmation of the product code and specifications. But this time there was another rep who said tht the information given to me was wrong earlier,so i lodged a complaint (complaint# 454569, 457423)and asked him to cancel my order. But he said that the home theatre was already dispatched so cant be cancelled. However when the consignment arrives, we could return it back and send him the courier details and our money for the product as well as the courier charges would be refunded within 21 days of receipt of the consigment to India today. But as the Samsung Omnia was yet not dispatched, it could be cancelled (cancellation#457482) and the amount would be refunded with in 21 days.
We returned the Home theatre along with the DVD player on 27th April 2010 (Air way bill# 12682829316) which cost us Rs. 1,820.00.

Unfortunately, the amount the not credited to my credit card account before my bill was due for payment, so I had to make a payment of Rs. 22,596.00 towards the products on 25th May 2010.
After repeated calls to India Today Book Club, there has been no response and such huge amount is stuck with this fake company. This was my savings for my new home decor. I wanted to surprise my wife, no doubt she definitely is now. These people stipped my money.
Pls tell me a way to recover my Rs. 22, 596.00 from India Today. What should I do next? Pls help
If you need any other information about this case pls fell free to contact me at bikramsahu@yahoo.com.
Regards,
Bikram
