My name is Swadesh Srivastava. I have been mislead by India Today Book club for a total of Rs 16192/-.

I had got a call on my mobile from Bag it today team on 22.08.2010 and he was talking about an offer, he said that I have selected in a lucky draw and won Gold gift box worth Rs. 2.00 lacs. He said for payment of Rs. 16192/- (In which Rs. 14996/- for transaction cost and Rs. 598/- each for two gold boxes of Rs. 1.00 lacs each) and the gold gift box will be sent to me within 15 days. He also advised that against Rs. 14996/- I will be received 2 pairs of Reebok Shoes, 2 Reebok track suit, 2 piece Reebok wrist watches, 2 pairs swiss wrist watches, 2 piece Reebok T-shirts and a gift holiday voucher of Rs. 7500/-. I wanted to ask more details but the call was disconnected. I was told the details will be sent to my mobile and also to my E-mail ID immediately. I was circumspect initially, but because the amounts were duly paid to Living Media, I trusted the assurances to be genuine.
Payments were made by me through SBI Bank credit card on 22.08.2010. I was told to enter my credit card details by keying the numbers through my mobile to the IVR of the India Today Group. I believed that the India Today Group would not stoop so low and not play dirty tricks with customers. After that some more calls received by me from Bag it today and they confirmed to me about my payment. He also asked my shoes size and T-shirts/ Track suit size and assured me that all the gift items will be send to me within week. I have received only one of the gifts (Reebok wrist watches) by courier, sender Living Media Ltd, who have received all the transactions. Since the call was made through Bag It Today office Landline Numbers, I believe the entire call and the conversation must have been recorded.
But till today we have not received other items including gold box. Meanwhile Mr. Choudhary, executive in Bag it today informed me that two gold boxes which include 40 vouchers of Rs. 5000/- in each box will be sent to me and each voucher of Rs. 5000/- will not be club with other vouchers at the time of redeem. It was not advised by me to any official of Bag it today in past. I asked to Mr. Choudhary that I want to not paid any margin money as he was not advised me earlier then he suggested if I can pay more Rs. 29000/- approx then India today group me provide the facility to club these voucher but I oppose this offer. So I asked to cancel my transaction and refund my money with interest and compensation.
Nothing about the prize money has been intimated so far. The whole thing seems to be trash and it is disgusting that a respected media and publishing house is resorting to such shameful business tactics.

But after 25 days I have not received any response from Bag it today official for refund of my money or they has also not send any item as they promised earlier.

Sir, i would request you to help me at least get my hard earned money back withy compasation, as I am unknowingly been cheated by The India Today Group. This is leader in Electronic and Print Media. I also request you to this complaints will forward to Mr. Prabhu Chawla, who is host of Seedhi Baat programmee which is telecast every Sundat at Aj Tak News Channel. Through this forum I requested to Mr. Prabhu Chawala for stop these type of cheating through Bag it today group, it will be lost the emage of India Todat Group.
