My child had taken admission in Ryan Chembur Mont 2 for the year 2010-2011. At the time of the admission they asked for a deposit of 70000 that i have paid --- asked for it under the purpose of school development and i have given as my daughter was expected to be with Ryan till at least 10th standard and i had no hesitation to contribute to my daughters future school.

I sent my daughter to school for about 3 to 4 days . However looking at the traffic congestion on the route to school and the approximately ( or more ) 45 minutes commute by the school bus from my house to your school , we decided not to send my child to Ryan by bus. I am a working mother and want to drop my child by car , but for the two days i did try the same i reached office between 10 to 10.30 . My office timing is 9 o’clock. If i reach office 1 to 1.5 hours late i will also have to leave office late and i will only reach home by 9/10 pm.

Looking at all this i have decided not to send my Daughter to the school and cancelled her admission

Related to the Deposit : At the time of taking deposit Ryan representative has mentioned that the deposit is towards the development of the school and is a non refundable deposit. I was perfectly ok with the same as I expected that my child will continue in the same school till the 10th standard. But now since i have cancelled the admission they should return the deposit back to me, as they cannot expect a child who is not continuing in your school to pay for the development of their school.

Please note ---in case one is looking for a house and pays a deposit – the deposit has to be returned back -----it is the rent which is cut. I have already paid for the uniforms, shoes and books which needed to be purchased and I am not asking anything of refund for those.

but they are not returning deposit back to me

My child has only attended 3 to 4 days of school. Please help
