Agarwal Packers & Movers Pvt. Ltd (DRS Group) had charged me a hefty INR 54,000 for packing and shifting our household goods from Kolkata to Bangalore. They had promised a quick shift (in 5-6 days) for this amount, a regular shift (max. 9 days) would have taken INR 6000 less. We had agreed on the quick service and got our things more than 9 days later.

Many things were absolutely wrecked up -
TV (a sony wega model) woofer is broken
Refrigerator leg has been ripped off
Computer accessories (2 external hard drives damaged)
Wooden furniture (double bed, sofa, study table, wardrobe) scratched and even chipped at many places
Glass top dining table has been damaged (glass shelf broken)
USHA sewing machine damaged
Teflon coated microwave-safe utensils scratched

When we asked them to take care of some the these things, they kept telling us that they'd attend, but never did. The claim officer visited once and promised a visit to set it right, but that hasn't happened yet.

They are all awful and I really am looking for some justice here.

I was to transport household things from Chennai to Mangalore. When I enquired over phone, they quoted as 12000 to transport these things. However when they came in person and after loading things in the vehicle, they were talking different. They told that I will have to give 20000. Also they are not customer friendly. One guy talking only in Hindi being at Chennai. It was after a talk over 50 minutes, they came down for 16500. They damaged a few items like grinder, computer table and few items were missing. They have some brokers to transport things. My house hold things were to be transported in separate vehicle per the agreement. However they violated and my things were transported with BPCL fuel tank. Suppose an accident take place, things will burn and people can't even claim with the insurance what they say while getting registered with them for transport. Please don't choose Agarwal Express for transport of things. There are so many good packers and movers.
