I relocated from Gurgaon to Chennai on 16th May 2010 and got my household stuff shifted through :

The stuff was packed & moved from my house on 14th May 2010. I has to face the following problems in dealing with the Organisation & its employees:
1. Delivery was promised in maximum 8-10 days. After much follow up, I finally received the stuff at 1:30pm on 29th May 2010 (15 days).
2. During the process of follow up for delay in receipt, none of the Officials in the Company in New Delhi (Mr Malik, Mr Shankar, Ms Rajni), Bangalore (Mr Sunil) or Chennai (Mr Rakesh), were able to give me a clear picture on the location of the truck and status of its arrival. Moreover they keptpassing the buck on each other, were speaking very rudely and eventually even stopped answering my calls.
3. When the stuff finally arrived, it came in an open truck unaccompanied by a Company Official. It was promised that transportation will take place in a closed truck.
4. While the stuff was packed at Gurgaon, I was told that all the boxes will be plastic laminated at the Company Office, but the state in which the stuff arrived was beyond recognition. Forget about lamination, even the cardboard packing was ripping apart. Some stuff had no packing material at all.
5. I had paid for unpacking goods in the contract. But after much follow up, the Company Officials (Mr Rakesh) came for unpacking only at 10:00pm on 31st May 2010 (3 days after arrival of stuff).
6. By such time I had unpacked most of the stuff except breakable items. Even upon arrival, these guys did not complete the remaining work. They just opened 1 Fridge, 1 TV, 4 boxes of Crockery out of the list of 77 items.
7. They left promising that they will send a Carpenter for resetting of furniture - Bed, Dinning Table, etc. I have been following up since, but no one has come till date. Now they are not even picking up my calls. I have been forced to call a carpenter & pay extra to get my work done.
8. Due to poor quality of packing, lot of my stuff has arrived broken or chipped. Major breakages - Fridge leg missing, A/c valve broken, Bed screws missing, Dinning Chair head broken, 15-20 utensils/chinaware broken, Kitchen containers split, table corners chipped etc. I am now being forced to pay up money for these repairs/replacements.
9. I had also paid up Rs.9000/- towards insurance premium. After much follow up with Mr Shankar & Ms Rajni, I am yet to receive a copy of the Insurance Policy. I am being forced to assume, this was never done.
10. Even if it was done, since the Unpackers did not come on time, open the stuff wholely and make an assessment of damage, I do not know how to file a claim and I need a copy of the Policy in any case.
11. The worst in all this is the rude behaviour, not taking client calls and not responding as promised.
I am tired of trying to extract an answer from this so called ISO9001:2000 Company. If I have gone through the trouble of writing this long mail, you can understand the extent of my mental agony & harrasment that I have been subject to by these people.
