I have a consignment to be delivered to me # C28929127

They updated the site saying that there delivery was failed due to office closed on Friday,Aug 13 2010.
This is a wrong information as my office was fully functional on the day and I was present in office myself.
They never made a call to me and confirmed.

Now since morning, first they were not picking up my calls, no response to the mail i sent them.
And when finally picked up the call they made me call atleast 15 different people since morning.

Now they have given me a reference number #7213

The costomer care office dont respond to calls, and wen they do after 10-15 mins, they say someone will call you and bang the phone.

A package (tracking no M58010669) was dispatched from Mumbai on 3rd Nov 2010 to my address at Kolkata. When it did not reach after even 9 days I emailed DTDC couriers on 12th Nov. I tried calling their helplines, but these are apparently kept off the hook as they all give an engaged tone permanently. I got a reply on 17th Nov, stating that my consignment was held up for sales tax and that once they cleared the matter they would deliver on priority. The value of the items is less than Rs 1500/- so I don't understand why sales tax should be holding it back. Again I emailed DTDC on 29th Nov and have been trying to call their helplines but the lines are as usual permanently engaged and they have not bothered to respond to my email till now.

Can anybody advise what I can do to retrieve my parcel and also to take action against the company for deceiving consumers about its services and non-functional helplines?

I am upset with the DTDC services... my parcel is lost and i was given run around by the customer service department. I sent this parcel on the 15th Nov and its still missing. Despite of making so many calls I am still not able to locate the parcel. Whenever i have spoken to the customer service team (at 02033004444) i have given the appologies and a commitment that the parcel will be located and will by sent again to the concern people but its still nowhere.

My parcel number is D04071299, got few complain numbers that someone is working on it etc...complain number 681733, 696750 etc. Today when i had asked to speak to the Manager I was refused saying we dont have Branch Manager, I spoke to Mrs. Parul Sahai Assistant Manager who was a complete disaster to any organisation, I asked her can i speak to her Manger for the better handling of the matter and immediate attention, she kept me on hold asking convensing her junior to pretend to be a Manager and close the call. This entire conversaion was audible to me and later she refused to take my call.

I dont know what to do now.
