Sub : Complaint against non delivery of consignment even after 21 days and lack of response from DTDC services

Sir,

I had to recieve a courier from mumbai with shipment no: M53912286 via DTDC courier services , but till date (03-Aug-2010) i.e ~21 days from the courier dispatched from mumbai, am still waiting for the consignment to be delivered. No response has come till date from them after my repeated escalations and follow ups. Please refer below mails for reference. Now i am feeling helpless..

You are the last hope of mine. Kindly confirm what actin can be taken against them and the process for the same. Please help me out at your level so that i can receive my courier. I will be grateful to you.

Pls register my grievance as I am mentally and physically tired with followups with DTDC .

Please refer attached mail …. This is the internal communication of DTDC. It’s been 2 days that people are trying to find out the status of the shipment but to no use OR reply. Pathetic state of affairs….

Am grateful to you for noting the contents of my mail; however, you have not answered any of the questions which I raised in my last mail.

Please don’t worry ….. I will keep bearing with you this time….guess I don’t have any other option. BUT FOR FUTURE, I AM SURE I WILL NEVER DARE EXERTING DTDC SERVICES …… one must learn from mistakes.

I perfectly understand that there could be problems with any company but how the escalation is handled & resolved is something which makes a company image/credibility. You may note that I escalated this issue first time on 22-July. Its more than a week’s time since then and we have not moved a inch ahead. This shows how trivially the issues are handled ….. HAPLESS & INEFFECTIVE CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

Dear Sophia,

I don’t understand what kind of investigation you need to do in this case and the purpose of investigation. This is a simple courier case and you need to deliver to consigner … that’s all, as per my understanding. Correct me if am wrong.

And do you ask every consigner about the content/value of goods before you deliver???
Could you please first let me know about the exact status of shipment – where is it lying and why are you still holding it???
Is it only because you need the content/value info that you are holding it OR something else???

If the purpose of this investigation is to find out the reason of delay then I would suggest that you deliver it to me first and then ask all those info. That’s what seems sensible….no point in keeping the customer waiting for the goods. It’s really crossing all heights of ragging.


Please share the details of further escalation path …..

Could you please push the local DTDC office, from where you booked the courier, and try to get this delivered. Am not sure how far they can help since am already writing to their HO and instead of resolving the issue and delivering the consignment, they are riddling a different agenda. Please seriously review if you are having any tie up with DTDC.

Appreciate if you could push the concerned to deliver this on Monday, 26July before 12noon please……. this is required badly. A consignment which has started from Mumbai on 12July is yet not delivered…….this has totally changed the literal meaning & purpose of ‘Courier’. Worst part is that one is not able to speak to anyone in Gurgaon. Its so frustrating and unsavory….



Infact, this is not the first time, last month also there was one consignment which was from Puducherry and we received that after two weeks.

i receive regular shipments

My consignment (Z21079407) was returned with status "Address not Found". It is completely negligence of DTDC as i used to get my earlier consignments with the same address. They are not ready to help me to resolve the issue. When i track online it says it is with the following branch.

Sir,

I have sent a courier on 12/07/2011 from Gurgaon to Noida and till yesterday i.e. 21/07/2011 there was no status even in DTDC’s tracking system. My consignment no. is Z36409606. I guess these people had misplaced the same.Then I followed up repetitively with the shopkeeper/ agent and finally some status is showing in the system but the courier has still not been delivered after 10 days of dispatch.

I couldn’t expect such pathetic services from DTDC.
Please take this as my greivance as these people have breached their SLA and the courier has no use now after 10 days, so now I want to claim my loss for the delay caused by DTDC because of such irresponsibility & cheap services and sue them to the court.

Hi,
I got a very important consignment booked from Jabalpur on Tuesday 16th August for Hyderabad. It was DTDC Plus service and was supposed to be delivered within 24 hours from the booking date. But now its been more than 48 hours and i still havent recieved it, reasulting in personal loss of money and time as well. Nobody from DTDC is ready to give a valid reason for this delay. Now i wish to file a case againt DTDC and claim for the damage that it has caused me.
