We have used DTDC Bangalore service on 10th Jan'2012 for sending one very important (leagal documents) to Kolkata, using their services from Sri Sai Ram Enterprises, near Jayadeva Flyover, bangalore. There Ms. Lakshmi collected our courier without giving us receipt, ensuring she would give it to us next day, as receipt book is over and would also refund the change (we paid her 100 but actual cost is 70). This is our fault that we trusted her as we have been using their services since last few months very regularly. To our surprise, next day when in morning my husband goes to collect receipt, he finds shop is closed, same happens next day and when till Thursday our courier doesn't reach Kolkata, we get some doubt. Hence, we start following up with DTDC but not of much use. Finally my husband was able to locate Sri Sam Ram Enterprises new shop and finds courier is still lying with them and Ms Lakshmi has disappeared. This post being urgent and critical for us, we had no choice but to use their express service (cost Rs 150) for sending this document. Another surprise, being a DTDC problem, we had to shell out extra Rs 150 for using express service. Owner of shop and Mr Mahesh (RM) assures us that they would refund our Rs 100 next day. The whole event happend on 13th Jan but till date neither Mahesh nor DTDC is willing to help and refund our extra money. Actually they should be paying for express courirer and refund our extra amount that Ms Lakshmi took.
Please help as DTDC claims that this is the only medium to get our money back.
