I am an frequent on-line buyer and I use to buy from ebay.com. I buy whenever,I find a best deal..I use to buy jewelry making findings such as beads,polymer flowers etc..I make things out of that findings and sell..I don't have a shop physically.I used to make a small gain at home with this.

First three months everything went out smoothly..After that customs started charging duty on all my cover which comes through India Post .The cover may hold things of 50 Rs, but customs charged me some 220 or 370 Rs ..Even it was of 20 Rs they took duty of 156..Now all the covers was charged duty of above 5000 Rs..

I used to reject many covers,but the sellers even does not get them back..What will customs have to do with my items..Many covers was also lost and many was received in a torn and item lost or nothing in the parcel..Now I am in whole loss..Every cover is brought from separate sellers and they hold one thing or two and customs charged me duty on every cover..

When I enquired about where to complain about the matter,the people working at India post said to contact customs directly,they can't do anything for me...I can't do since I am living in Trivandrum,kerala and customs is at Cochin...Now I am in a whole loss..Customs took away my way of living..I am fed up of them..Simply charging duty on small items which is marked as gift by seller and is below $5..

What should I do now..I can't afford the duty any more and still have to receive many covers which was bought one month back..How can I make the customs know about my situation..I don't know why they charge on items like the ones I receive..Please help me out in this...

I also buy things from ebay...it has been more than 2 years since I started buying. suddenly after 2011...in 10th Jan 2012 i received an item I ordered and post man took Rs.324 as customs duty. before it i had never give any duty before. you have any idea? does Govt started new rules?
