I want to put up a complaint against DTDC, I have send 2 packets via DTDC from Chandigarh containing Rakhis to Bareilly (CN No.- Z42866770) & Mordadabad (CN No.- Z43361418) on Aug. 8th.
On inquiring the status online & with DTDC office today, i.e., Aug. 24th, I am being informed that the 1st packet dispatched for Barielly has not been delivered yet and the other packet for Moradabad was delivered on Aug. 17th, i.e., 9 days later, whereas it should be delivered within 2-3 days.
My Questions to DTDC or to any courier company for that matter are -
1) They should know the importance of the Festival, if they are not able to deliver on time, they should firstly not accept the parcel and if they are accepting they should deliver in time. When I inquired the same thing to DTDC office, they very bluntly refused that they had lot of load. This type of casual approcal is no way acceptable. They should be liable for the compensation, then only they will realise the cost of delay and they will be alerted for the delays in future.
2) The courier company should be under some control policy where they has to be penalty clauses, if they delay after certain period of time they should be penalized heavily.
3) We can not let them enjoy their own luxuries of not delivering on time or not delivering at all then by refusing that they do not have visibility of the parcel or they have enough load.
We should not accept the lethargic approach from the service providers and they should definitely be under the laws and customer should get the benefit in terms of compensation due to service providers inefficiencies.
This complaint is to give the courier companies a lesson for their life & to strengthen customer's voice.
