Hi,

I have given my furniture work to Infinite Furniture Pune ( Mr. Anand Dave - Mob- 9822176664, Off-020-32304416) and my work cost is 1.3Lacs and given 50K as advance.

Now it is 3months completed and he is not giving my furniture as well not giving my money back. I had issued him bearer cheque and have written document which is sign and cell number on his office letterhead.

This person is always lie like anything and giving reply - 'Do what ever you want.'

Please advise me. how to take action against him.

I got quotation mail of rs. 1lac+ for my furniture work from mr. Anand dave and as per our discussion I had given rs. 50,000/- As advance by cheque.
I have taken his hand written document on his furniture office letterhead page -
which says date, total project cost, advance amount and cheque number and his sign and mobile number below sign.

He has given me assurance that my furniture work will be completed with in 15days (as he said he has machinary at factory place so work will be faster).

But nothing has happened as per decided above and anand dave started cheating. He always give some or the other reason and postponing my furniture work.
Whenever we are calling to him, he always says he is busy and will call you sometime later/ At funaral/ He is not in town/ My workers on leave and so on..

this person is always lied and sometimes when we ask for our money back he giving reply - 'do what ever you want, you'LL not get it..'

I have also visited his factory to know more about my furniture and found that my work not started at all ; he shown other work saying that, this is my furniture work but that is not matched with my design and measurement.

After so many follow-ups to his office and over the phone ,
I received sms on 25-may-2011 from him saying that "if your furniture will not be ready till next sunday , I will hand over the cash to you".

So as per above sms, he was ready to pay my money with interest amount but till now he is not giving my money back also not got any furniture.

(I have proof documents - written document on his furniture letter head with above said details on it, quotation, bank statement with cheque details, his visiting card)

I have also got couple of incidents, they are victim of mr. Anand dave.. similar to my case... -

in todays (18sep2011, pune times) anand dave had given advertisement with different company name I.E. "Shree siddhivinayak industries". Now the person is same with different company name.

I saw their ad in the newspaper and gave them the contract to get my kitchen furnished. The business is owned and run by someone called Anand Dave and he visited us and assured the work will be completed on time and took 50% of the amount.

However, the work did not even start till the date that he had promised to complete it by! We kept on following up and a month later, he asked for another 40% of the payment in order to get the stuff out of his "factory". I had no other option but to pay... the material reached my house but he did not even get it fixed till a week. Then, (by a stroke of luck) his carpenters came and started the work but left it unfinished. Even the quality of the work was pathetic.

I was so frustrated that I had to get my own carpenters, buy my own remaining material and get the work completed! I would not advise anyone to even consider them.

By the way, did I mention that this guy - Anand Dave - stopped answering my calls after collecting 90% of the payment?
