I bought a number of furniture items from your Lifecenter store, Oasis Mall, Koramangala, Bangalore. Order Number :2052
I bought a dining table set, a bed, and a tea set ( 2chairs and a center round table), on 17th of October 2011.
I was very specific about the delivery date as Diwali was approaching, plus I will be out of town after 30th for a month or two.
The delivery date was on 24th October.
It was not delivered on that date, and nobody even called to inform about the delay.
After I called the number 080-25520129, they said " it will be delivered today" that in on 25th October. They bought in the furniture and said that Tea set is not delivered as it was out of stock.
When I asked when will it be assembled, they said the company rule was to assemble it the next day after delivery. But they had to deliver my furniture on 24th, they were already one day late. Now what's the point of keeping un assembled furniture at home, Diwali was next day. I got furious. They said somebody will come at 10 a.m on 26th to assemble. Nobody turned up, and nobody picked up the call either. They came late afternoon to assemble it. My guests had already left. The point why I got the furniture firstly was anyway killed.
However, now after assembling the Dining and Bed, we found that there was a missing part in the bed and also some scratches. By then my patience was put to a tremendous test !!
I called again, firstly to return the bed and secondly to find out when the tea set would be delivered. For a long time nobody answered the phone , when they finally did the guy said that the tea set would be delivered on 2nd or 3rd, that is wednesday / thursday. I kept telling him that I will be leaving on 30th and the house would be locked,but that guy kept on repeating like a robot that "wednesday surely it will be delivered ma'm". I was so furious , this guy can't even understand what I am telling him, but just repeating what he said, and for returning the Bed as well he was unable to understand, so I asked him to give me the contact of a higher authority. Then a manager named Nityanand spoke to me. He said that the furniture can be returned and exchanged, but somebody will come a pick it up first. All this conversation took place on 27th October. He said the carpenter will come a dissemble it on 28th. Nobody came, the carpenter came on 29th and dissembled the bed, but as I was leaving on 30th somebody had to pick up the bed as well so that I can go and get the credit note.
There was delay, and finally the pick up guys came to pick it up on 30th, just as I was leaving and I had no time left to take the credit note for Bed and Tea Set.
This was my worst experience ever with a Furniture store. At first I was okay with exchange. The manager Nityanand was supposed to send me an official mail, stating the amount and other details to facilitate exchange., but so far no mail. It has been 2 days, and today he doesn't pick up the call.I also sent him a couple of sms, but no reply. I am disappointed with the way you guys behaved. I can't trust you any more. So now I want a refund of money I paid for the Bed and The Tea Set.
Kindly process this without further delay.
