My electricity billing used to be around Rs. 300 upto the billing cycle of 11/06/2010 to 12/07/2010 Post that I made an application for a new meter as I wanted to put a AC of 1.5 tons The new meter was installed on Aug 9, 2010 and the AC usage also commenced from the same day.

I received Nil billing for the period 12-07-2010 to 12-08-2010 and 12-08-2010 to 09-09-2010.

For the period 09-09-2010 to 12-10-2010 I received a Bill for Rs. 1576/- which I felt was proper.

For the period 12-10-2010 to 11-11-2010 I received a Bill for Rs. 3466/- THIS SEEMS EXORBIDANT.

After repeated complaints the BEST sent their officer to check the consumption with some accucheck machine. He found that consumption was in order but the problem lied in the billing. There happened to be double billing for number of units consumed.
He took copies of the bills to show it to a Senior official in his office.


Post that there is no revert from BEST inspite of my repeated reminders and phone calls

May I request you to kindly look into the same.

To the best of my knowledge the energy consumption per month should be less than 200 units and therefore the billing of Rs. 800/- per month wef 09/08/2010.
