Default BSES Delhi Bill Payment and Other Services

The privatization of Delhi’s power sector in 2002 and the unbundling of the Delhi Vidyut Board the same year led to the business power distribution to BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL). And there is another called North Delhi Power Limited under TATA that is NDPL. Among the three the two sections of BSES offer electricity distribution to nearly 22.6 lakhs of customers which is almost two third of delhi’s population. And the BSES Company has acquired liabilities, assets, proceedings and personnel of the Delhi Vidyut Board according to the terms and conditions that are contained in the Transfer Scheme.

Before we have a look at the bill payments and other options of the BSES Delhi, let us have a look at the brief introduction of the two BSES companies that supply electricity to the people.
    BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL)
BYPL distributes power to an area spread over 200 sq kms with a population density of 4230 per sq km. It has customer base of nearly 10.4 lac and spreads over fourteen distrits that include Central and East Delhi areas like Chandni Chowk, Daryaganj, Paharganj, Shankar Road, Patel Nagar, G T Road, Karkardooma, Krishna Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Mayur Vihar, Yamuna Vihar, Nand Nagri and Karawal Nagar.

    BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL)
BRPL distributes power to an area spread over 750 sq. km with a population density of 1360 per sq km. It supplies electricity to nearly 12.2 lac across the 19 districts that spread across the South and West areas of the Delhi that include places like Alaknanda, Khanpur, Vasant Kunj, Saket, Nehru Place, Nizamuddin, Sarita Vihar, Hauz Khas, R K Puram, Janakpuri, Najafgargh, Nangloi, Mundka, Punjabi Bagh, Tagore Garden, Vikas Puri, Palam and Dwarka.

Since the overtaking from the Delhi Government the BSES’s mission has always been to provide quality electricity and also customer service. The 3500 crore of investement made to upgrade the electricity system in Delhi has lead to peaceful power supply, easy billing process and payments. And from nearly 61% losses under DVB the loss has curtailed down to nearly 22.5 % with reduction rate of nearly 40%.

    Bill Payments and Other services
With the privatization of the electricity service in Delhi, many things came in useful existence like paying the bills, customer complain, getting new connection and other facilities. Now you can visit any office of BSES and find counters that offer multiple services and also personnel to tackle your issues softly and swiftly. The purpose regarding electricity has never been so easy in Delhi before the privatization.

You can also visit the site called www.bsesdelhi.com to make online payments of bills, customer support service to complain or query anything that you wish to know, print duplicate bills easily and also download the forms for new connection as well as modification of current connection like improving the old meters to electronic meters and also learn about the power shedding routine. Thanks to BSES which has brought so much of relief to Delhites! Imagine what you would do with such scorching heat and no electricity!
