2. I am occupant of this Govt. accommodation since August 2009. Since that time, with regular utilisation of home gadgets, my electricity will used to be moderate till May 2010.However, to my utter shock, the Bill No 934137 dated 04 June 2010 has shown total consumption of 2108 UNITS and amount of Rs. 9000/- towards electricity charges (which is highly unbelievable).
3. Being a defence officer in active service, I was out of station during July 2010. Hence due to paucity of time, I was unable to complain on the subject . Notwithstanding, the said bill was timely paid by me although with considerable financial hardship .
4. Meanwhile , again on 07 August 2010 , I have received a SMS on my mobile which shows the next bill as Rs 8390 /-.
5. I wish to clarify, that previously, the electricity bill used to be within reasonable limits and even highest bill was not more than Rs. 1950/- Further , I do not have any power gadgets and it is not at all possible to consume the units shown in these bills. The bills are highly inflated, unreasonable and unjustified either due to erroneous readings taken by the staff or due to faulty meter. Therefore, I request you to kindly take following actions on priority
(a) Thorough and proper investigation of this excess billing for Bill No 934137 and 981692 ( CRN No.: 2551144092 )
(b) Immediate replacement of the defective electric meter
(c) Refund of excessively charged amount accordingly in my favour.
Thanking you and with regards. Yours sincerely , Commandant Braj Kishore
