This is with reference to the transactions I did with irctc.co.in on 5th december, 2010. The transaction fails after paying money to irctc through SBI-debit card internet payment gateway. It says Online reservation error/ You have pressed back/refresh button of you browser/ You have double clicked any button/ You have kept your browser window idle for a long time.
This happened four times.I think I have been charged thrice among these four transactions, (I am not sure right now, I have to check my account balance)
By the fourth time, I was already thinking of complaining, so I took screenshots of the page which got stuck in the redirecting page for a long time. Successive screenshots show different times. So, this should be a proof of what has happened during the transaction.
What could I do other than keeping my browser window idle, if it got stuck in the redirecting page? They should either make their site fast, or stop this rule of not keeping the browser window idle.
They will give me money back, but it feels really uncomfortable and insecure after the failed transactions,during the time which they take to give back the money, usually it will be more than 3 days.
What is happening now is, they charge money as soon as the bank sends information to them, but the transaction fails while we are coming back to the irctc website, and the ticket doesn't get booked.What I insist on, is that they take the money after they book ticket for me.
