Dear Sir,

Most of the consumers in (Faridabad) Haryana are facing problems from electricity department which again and again send wrong electricity bills. I have already faced this problem 3 times within last 1 year. It appears that without even taking the reading from the meter, they write any figure for the units consumed which is sometimes almost 10 times than the actual units consumed. Secondly this problem is aggravated due to sub-standard electricity meter which get burned within a very short duration of installation. Within last 1 year I had to get meters replaced on 2 occasions.

Everytime we go to the department for bill correction the concerned officers demand bribe and in case the consumer do not accept to their conditions they threaten with dire consequences. I am fed up of the DHVNL's antics. Please guide me that how to handle this situation.
