Hi,
I am tired to sending emails about PF money. First time to check the status of the PF refund i had sent an email to ro.bandra@epfindia.gov.in. I was impressed by their prompt reply within 24 hours saying that they have done their part and cheques have been sent and asked me to check with my bank. What could have happened,they sent it to a wrong account and so was returned by the Bank. I replied to the PF office email again. Got a reply within 24 hours giving me instructions to re-apply through my previous employer. I re-applied through my employer last year in June'09. And since then i have atleast sent 25 to 30 emails to the same email address and not even a single reply. I have lodged complaints in Labour of ministry website also but its same..no response. As usual when i check the status in the EPFO website its shows Not received. After reading different forums i have come to know that sending cheques with wrong account number is a common practice by PF Office so that they meet the 1st guideline of sending the money within 45 days and be on the safer side.
I found this website while searching for PF contacts and thought of giving one more try.By the way i have also contacted many PF officers from the EPFO directory in Bandra. As i am writing this complaint it should be clear that they did not help.
