Sir,
I was not aware of the fact that i will be going into such a large scale trauma and agony after i came across the poor management and maintenance of the UPSRTC (UTTAR PRADESH STATE ROAD TRANSPORT CORPORATION) buses.
Being a law student, I was invited for a conference at National Law University, Delhi to attend a conference and present my paper which was selected for presentation. The presentation was scheduled on 13th November, 2010 from 9:30 am onwards. After the payment of Rs.785/-, I got one reservation in UPSRTC AC Sleeper bus for the night of 12th November, 2010. The bus was supposed to reach New Delhi at around 8:30 am on 13th November.
But, thanks to the poor management and maintenance of the bus, it broke down at around 2:00 am in the morning at Sitapur. The bus driver showed his reluctance to help us. So, somehow I had to arrange for conveyance on my own. Due to that delay, I could not attend the conference, which was one lifetime opportunity for me.
I pray to the authorities at the Consumer forum to make the UPSRTC refund the amount of ticket for the services, which I did not obtain. Further, I would pray to make UPSRTC compensate for the agony and mental trauma that I suffered from the inconvenience.
