Dear Sir/Madam,

I Mr. Sanjay G. Lavate residing at M.M.R.D.A. Colony, Kanjurmarg (West). It was on 3rd May 2010 in the morning one of the MSEB worker Mr. Patil came to my house and asked me the electricity bill of last month. I showed him the bill and he told me to pay it immediately now. I said as we were out of station and the date of payment is already closed and it is just one month's bill i will pay it in the next month's bill together which is going to be issued to me with in 3 to 4 days. Upon this he said i am going to cut off your power supply now. As listening this i asked him for a written notice. He talked rudely for this and said go to senior officer and ask to him. Immediately i went to the senior officer and asked him about the above matter. he said that the action is legal . I asked him for written notice. On this he said i will not give any notice and i have a right to cutt off your power supply. If u want to stop me go to my senior officer. I immediately went to MSEB office there i not found any senior officer and so i paid the bill and came back.
Next day under Right of Information i came to now that i have a right to get a written notice for cut off of power supply at least 15 days before the action.
So, Sir, I request u to look in this matter and help me to find a way. At present i have nearly 15 to 20 cases with same problem. Even if 1 months bill is not paid and without any written intimation or notice their poer supply as been cut off.
Sir please do the needful.
