I reside at Plot No.77, 23rd Cross Street Padmavathi Nagar Extension, Madambakkam, Chennai-73. My complaint is wrong billing TNEB, Selaiyur. My EB consumer No. is 256-740-745. During November 2009, EB officials took my defective meter which is based on my complaint, and on January 08, 2010, they have provided a new meter. Initial meter reading was 002. After that during I paid bill for January 2010 and March 2010 for Rs.262/- for my actual use. During May 2010, EB officials have taken reading and made entries in my EB card for Rs.372/-. Reading was taken on 18-05-10. When my son went to EB office for remitting the amount, EB officials have told them to make entry and they have entered 900+ as due amount. When I complained to them they told they have not made entry in their system to the fact that the meter has been replaced. However, they have altered the earlier amount of 900+ and asked me to pay Rs.475/- and entered the meter reading as 300. However, it is to be pointed out that on 18-05-10 itself my meter reading was 510. Thus I was made to pay Rs.103/- more than that of my actual due. I made representation to AE/TNEB/Selaiyur and sent a copy to TNEB Cosumer Redressal Forum . But so far no action taken. I have registered my complaint on line also to TNEB. In the mean time, meter reading was taken for the month of July 2010 and they have noted the last meter reading as 700, and they have entered 400 units (700-300) as my consumption, whereas it should be 700 - 510 = 190 units only. I have paid the amount for 400 units. Therefore, I request that my extra payment obtained from me should be returned to me.
