• I took a membership of Gold Gym at DLF Phase III, Gurgaon for a period of 3 months commencing from June 2011. Prior to the expiry of my membership on August 31, I extended my membership for 6 months. From that time onwards I find there has been a deterioration in services. The AC of the gym stopped working for around 10 days in September 2011. We were told that things would work out soon and the g......ym was having a dispute with DLF on electricity payments. Things were regularised after a while.From Diwali this year the ACs have again stopped working . We are told that there is again some dispute with DLF on electricity payments. There is no notice/communication from the gym on when the matter will be resolved. Every time we ask we are told that things will work out soon. There is a lady and the head trainer there to answer questions. I feel sorry for them since they have to keep repeating that things will work out by the first week of December The partner of the franchisee - Poonam Singh has not made an appearance from the time the ACs stopped functioning. The atmosphere in the gym is claustrophobic as the ACs are off and there is no ventilation. There is a musty smell and coupled with the smell of sweat of people who try and exercise despite the trying conditions makes the atmosphere absolutely sickening. People like me are forced to use the gym since it does not seem that we will not receive any refund for the money that we have already paid. There are no towels available (small/large). Petty things like toilet rolls are also not available. Is this what Gold Gym all about ? I want my money back so that I can go somewhere else
PS The lady and the trainer seem to be repeating what they have been told to say.
