Default Religare Ranbaxy, extracted the healthy tooth, instead of the diseased one

I visited Religare Ranbaxy Pathological Laboratories (earlier known as SRL Ranbaxy Pathological Laboratories) on 07.08.2010 with a dental complaint, on the sixth/ seventh molar on the right upper jaw. After physical inspection, the consultant advised an x ray.

I did the x ray on 08.08.2010 and met the consultant dentist on 09.08.2010 with the X-RAY report and film.
The radiologist report and the X-ray showed “Intra oral Peri Apical of 8,7 Region -> caries and peri apical luccency seen in 7"
I discussed with the dentist that I was also feeling pain in the 6th molar on the right jaw which was due to the bad adjacent tooth.
The consultant dentist advised extraction of the affected tooth. The extraction of the tooth was done on 14.8.2010.
However, I found that the sixth tooth was extracted instead of the seventh tooth.
My grievance is that the hospital has committed a grave error in the treatment. When the report and the X-Ray exposure revealed that the 7th tooth was affected, the hospital should have treated the 7th tooth. Due to such carelessness in part of the hospital, I not only had to lose a healthy tooth, but also, now I have to apply a bridge in the place of the extracted tooth. This, apart from the physical discomfort, will also result in expenditure.

Teeth are not replaceable and the loss of the tooth is permanent. A small boy once asked his grandfather, what the secret of life long happiness is. "Take care of your teeth", the old man replied.

I am intending to file a complaint in the consumer court seeking suitable compensation from the hospital.
