I took a maintenance contract from A.K. Enterprises located at 57, Bharat Nagar, New Friends Colony, New Delhi, 110025. The contract very clearly stated that they will service my filter and sub-parts on a periodic basis. The contract was signed for Rs. 3000. but this contract was dishonored by the offeror as he was supposed to change my RO water Purifier's Prefilter - 9'' candle for sedimentation and in return replace it by a 9'' candle for sedimentation of SANSUI company on 23rd November, 2011. I would like to file a consumer complaint and would like to sue the vendor because today when I enquired about this incident he started stating various reasons that he didn't know the law and that I am uneducated and thus not bound under any law and I couldn't take this as as an excuse because I have had to drink potentially unhealthy water.
Also the people who came to service my Sediment and Carbon Filter, which was supposed to be done on 23rd January, 2012 but was again not done until I called there office numerous times requesting for it to be done did not carry any form of identity proof. On my asking the same they replied that they do not carry any identity proof and that we service without any proof. On my asking whether they have any formal qualification before they touch my machine, they replied "Yes, yes, we have learnt it by the streets and that is enough.
I would like to receive compensation for the fact that I am drinking potentially unhealthy water and facing a health hazard.
