    Default TATA SWACH water filter product defective

    Hi,
    I had purchased TATA swach water filter. I had problem with filter, for which I contacted thier call centre. I was informed to speak to their technical staff Mr. Rajendra -9920753374. Technician visited my home & informed that filter bulb needs replcement. It's alomost 45 days & he has not turned up. On calling he informed that he is waiting for filter bulb delivery from Haldia.

    Tata chemicals has sold me a defective product & thay dont have any mechnism to register or track complaints. Service is pathetic and defaming TATA brand.

    I would like TATA to replace the defective product and would advise them to test the products thorougly before you launch it.

    I also had a problem with the purifier. I called up the toll free number who directed me to the tataswach mail. On posting the mail, I was contacted within 24 hours and my complaint was resolved in the next 2 days. I could not have expected a better service. Thank you CUSTOMER CARE!

    Talking Tata swach..excellent product..excellent service

    I had faced a problem with the tata swach purifier within 20 days of purchase. I called the toll free number who directed me to contact the company through the tataswach mail id. I was delighted to have received a feedback from the customer care within 24 hours of my complaint. The technician also contacted in the next 2 days and was prompt and polite enough to resolve my complaint immediately
    I could not have asked for a better service. Tata customer service is fabulous and the product is also excellent

    Thumbs down TATA Swach Plastic Broken

    Hi

    I have purchased TATA Swach from a retailer in West Delhi. He showed me the product duly wrapped in the white plastic.

    When i brought it home and was about to install the product i found the base of the purifier plastic broken where the tap can be fitted. I did not open the bulb and the tap case and they are plastic sealed as when i bought the purifier (duly taped). The retailer informed me that I have a 1 year warranty for the product for any damaages.

    But now when i went back to the retailer to excahnge defective producct, he says that I must have broken the purifier while installing (even when I did not try to install anything) and he cannot change it.

    I think TATA should have worked on these details for the replacement of defective product as I did not even try to open the packed tap and the bulb case to install it.

    Default Damaged Layer

    I had purchased Tata Swach and now 1st and 2nd layer is damaged (torn) and I tried everywhere but I am not getting that even called customer care they told me they will get back to me but i am waiting from 15 days for their reply. Kindly advise where i can get that.

    Default Pest in Tata Swach Water Filter purchased from Croma outlet in Mega Mall.

    Dear Sir/Madam


    I had purchased Tata Swach Water Purifier from Croma.,Infiniti Retail
    Limited, Unit No G-1 Mega Mall, Near Lokhandwala Complex, opposite,
    Oshiwara Bus Depot, Goregaon West),Mumbai- 400102 on 24.03/2010 vide
    Bill No. 14101. I was very sure that the Tata Brand name will live
    upto its name and Quality. The unit was used by us for few months and
    my wife suffered from severe pain in the stomach after drinking water
    from the Swach water purifier. As she closely examined the Water
    Purifier she found small Cockroches floating inside the Water
    Purifier. We have incurred lot of Doctor/hospital expenditure for
    treating her for the disease due to contaminated water.

    We have stopped using the WATER PURIFIER as is not safe to drink water
    from it. We visited Croma outlet and lodged the complaint about the
    defective filter. I was told by Mr Jaison Thomas, Store Manager of
    Croma to bring the unit for inspection to CROMA outlet in Mega Mall.
    We have taken the Water Purifier and handed over to them for attending
    it. The Cockroches were entering from the water purifier body, The
    exact location of their entry was to be checked by their Engineer. We
    can not use the Water purifier any more as the very purpose of using a
    Water Purifier is defeated if the pest and insects can enter inside
    the body of purifier. The pests re-enter it, once we clean it and fill
    the water in it, they float in the water tank. As I was not informed
    about the progress in the matter, We visited again and Mr Thomas told
    that the unit was checked by its engineers and Tata Chemical has
    informed that they cannot help in this matter and they cannot do
    anything about it. The water purifier is lying with Croma from October
    2010 for repairs.

    We have no faith in the utility of TATA SWACH Water
    Purifier. We cannot drink the CONTAMINATED WATER by seeing the pest
    floating in the water inside the Water purifier itself with our own
    eyes. We had requested Croma to replace the unit or refund us our
    money. The Croma representative told us to buy a new Tata Swach Bulb
    for the Unit and the Water Purifier is not Pest Proof.

    I fail to understand how Tata Swach Bulb replacement will
    make the Water Purifier Pest Safe. This is serious matter as the
    purifier purchased for Health safety is threatening us with diseases
    like Jaundice, Cholera,Dysentery, E. Coli etc. This type of Cheap
    products need to be banned from market. The tall claims made by mfg.
    of water Purifier need to be checked by the Govt. The consumer need
    to be protected by Govt. from such products which play with the Health
    and life of peoples. I earnestly request in the interest of Consumers
    and Citizens of this country to help us get justice as health of
    Peoples is at great risk.

    i have purchased tata swach on 11th july 2010 , but aftr 3 months it started problems like total blockage of water then after some days it started its work properly . but now i have the problem with it, that , it has some leakage from the connecting point of upper container and the bulb,so it allows the water to flow in lower container without purifying it.

    Angry Defective Swach tata filter

    I had purchased the Tata water filter 5 months back .at starting it worked good but after expiry of first filter unit I purchased a new one. It found defective.,no water at all dipping and just one month has passed...no shop keeper or call center people took seriously saying that input water may be dirty....Ha,, I can drink the input water without filtering it is so clean always.since it is BMC fresh water line.Its is nothing but factory defect but they are refusing it.So shame less company is this!!!!!!!!!. so freind just say to this product "Ta-Ta" Bye-Bye and tell others NOT TO BUY EVEN IT GETS FREE !!!!!!!!!

    Smile How to clean the top filter

    Hi Guys,
    I have been using a Tata Swach for some time now and its performance seems to be ok. The problem, I am facing is that the filter (white net type) through which we fill the top container seems to be in a pretty bad shape. It has become brown due to impurities and the water takes an age to pass through to the container. Can you guys please help in cleaning tips for it.

    Additionally, the alignment of my filter seems to have been disturbed. When the lower container is full and there is some water in the top container, the top one starts leaking. This problem does not occur in any other scenario. I tried fiddling around to prevent this from happening , but to no avail. Can you guys please suggest a solution.

    Angry Tata Swatch Filter doesnot work

    I was initially happy about the quality of filtered water. But I am disappointed now with the fact that I have to change the filter every 2 months.

    We consume around 300 liters of water every month at our home. according to what is mentioned the capacity of filter is 3000 liters of water (this works out roughly about 10 months).

    Every one is falling sick at my home after using the filter for more than 2 months.

    Looking at this, though the cost of purifier is less, we end up paying more money for the filter. Not to mention, the pain I had to go through taking my wife and kid around hospital for bacterial fever and bad cough with flem

    Angry TATA Swach "DEFECTIVE BULB"

    The customer care officer,

    I had purchased TATA Swach water purifier in July 2010, it worked well. After around 8 months later it's "BULB" stopped working (as per it's life, info./declaration given by you). Then I bought another "BULB" from one of the shops but found it defective. The body was cracked, so the retailer gave me replacement of the same. Then I replaced the old one with new. But after some days of use (around 2 months) I found no water filteration through it. During further checking found that The white spherical material inside the "BULB" found crushed & turned in powder itself. But as per your info. during filteration it should go on reducing on two conditions
    1. Purification of water upto 3000 Ltrs.
    2. Use of it upto 6 months.
    But none of the things happened with it as the "BULB" is defective. I called for your "Customer Care" dept. twice or thrice. then after a long time one of your persons visited the site in Sept. 2011 and checked the same. He also found the same problem. He talked to his superiors about it on his cell phone. Then he told me that he will put up this issue in the meeting but I received no any response about it.
    So I request you to look into this matter & give me the replacement of the "DEFECTIVE BULB".

    Angry Tata swach damaged product received

    I ordered Tata swach Smart water purifier (order no. 19092011-4247) and received it on 26th September at 5 pm. I had received it via courier (DTDC CN 006598143).
    On opening the product I found that it is fully damaged. There were lots of scratches and dents on the upper container and upper container was not able to fit properly on the lower container. Also, I found that inside the box there was no protective packing like thermacole or anything.

    I immediately lodged a complaint on call center no. 1800-2-585858 (Compalint number 52236 on 26th September 7pm).

    Next day (27th September) a person (Mr. Tripathi - 09665291570) visited my place and certified that the product needs replacement and gave me number of Mr. Vikas (7498057350).

    On 28th September after calling Mr. Vikas 3 times he told me that he is yet to talk with his boss about the matter.

    Today on 29th September, Mr. VIkas has told me that he and his boss can not do anything on this matter and you should have checked the purifier upon its receipt only.

    This all is disgusting and not at all expected from a TATA brand. Mr. Ratan Tata had proudly announced this product for India market and I am afraid you are not keeping your promises of giving a good quality product and good service to customers.

    I had ordered it online and I have every right to get a good quality product.

    If I do not get a replacement for this product, I am certainly going to consumer's forum and ask for a heavy penalty from the company given the level of service you have provided and the trouble caused to me.

    Please look into the matter immediately.

    Default rediculus online booking

    I had booked a tata swach smart, online on 6th september 2011 on the name of Mrs. Suchitra Guha, ORDER NOS- 030920113870, to be delivered at the following address
    889A Lake Town, Bl- A Flat- 1, Kolkata- 700089

    I had lodged a complaint on 17th september. They heard the complain but DIDNOT give me any COMPLAIN NUMBER and I believe no action has been taken
    because its 30th september today and the purifier HAVEN'T BEEN DELIVERED YET.Even
    the customer care number 18002585858 is INCORRECT, according to telephone
    operators. I called the regional centre, (on the number given on website) and the deputy head (the number was provided from the regional centre, kolkatta) but without effective result.

    This indifferent attitude of Tata Chemicals is causing much of inconvenience and I GUESS THIS IS NOT HOW TATA USUALLY DOES BUSINESS.

    Default Tata Swach bulb doesn't purify water once the purification capacity is exhausted

    Dear Vishnu,

    The Tata Swach bulb generally purifies up to 3000 litres. Another additional feature of the bulb is that, it will stop functioning if the purification capacity of the bulb has been exhausted. That means, you will not get water in the lower tank.
