We had installed the gas pipeline connection 4-5 yrs back but never used it .In May 2011 we received a letter from MGL stating that if we required the gas connection to be started ,call our person and please do it so before 6 th June or the pipeline connections will be removed. In June their person visited our house and started the connection to our house. Due to no instructions given by the instructor who has connected our gas line we did not notice that the meter was not moving nor had he noticed it when he had done the connections and checked the connections. Then we complained to MGL on phone but even after repeated complaints no action has been taken .Then finally on 12th oct 2011 we mailed regarding that the meter was not moving and we wont be bearing the losses since they had not responded to our repeated complaints and then they have send their executive who changed the faulty meter box and adjusted the meter starting from 60.309 since it was not getting adjusted to be started from zero. He had assured that the bill will state that the meter had started from 60.309 and also noted it down with our signatures taken .Also the next time when their executive had come to check the meter for billing purpose he had noted down as 60.309 as starting units with our signatures taken .Then why the bill was showing the meter reading from 1/04/2011 to 20/11/2011 for 70 units consumed .The bill should mention only that the meter was started on 60.309 and also they had billed us from 1/04/2011 .The connection was not installed in April then how can they bill from April 2011.Even after repeated complaints they send us a only acknowledgement mails and stating that the meter had started from zero and bill is correct .We have asked them to mail us the copies of documents which their executives had taken while taking the meter reading and when they had changed the meter box .But till date I have not received any reply from their side
Then I have mailed them as below
“Please find attached a letter from your side dated 16.05.2011asking us to start the gas connection.ow pl tell me how can you bill from april2011 when the connection was not installed only by you.ts almost more than one month that i have not got a firm reply from your side nor the documents scan copy in which i have signed that the meter had stated from from 60.309. do the needful at the earliest rather than just sending acknowledgment letters from your side and check who is the culprit from your side who has done this goof up.”
But still I have got no reply from their side and they are just sending me acknowledgment mails.
This is a clear case of forgery , cheating and negligence where the people who have come from MGL had ensured that the bill will take into consideration the starting point of meter as 60.309 rather than zero and this has given us lot of mental stress as the follow up is only from our side .There are no reverts from their side and they are just sending me acknowledgment mails.Please advice how to go about this as we are feeling helpless .
