I have applied for Number Portability for my Post paid no. 9004638887 since 13th Dec 2011. Airtel has not till date processed my Portability request.
When I had put the request for the first time they just rejected saying that there are "Contractual Obligation" (which is not valid for individual customers). Later to that they offered me many different plans for which I was not ready and told them do whatever they wanted to but relieve me from Airtel, but to my surprise they had rejected once again saying that I had told them to reject the application as I was OK with their petty offer, which is not true at all. Since then I had called them many times and they always assured me that it will be sorted out, suddenly on 30th Dec when I called them as usual to find the status of the request they once again told me that it was rejected due to "Contractual Obligation" and so I asked to speak to a Senior level person present, the call was then transfered to Sr. Exec. Atul who told me that it was rejected due to non-payment of Outstanding payment. So to tell me this they took almost 18 days. Later to that they again rejected a few Port Request again reasoning "Contractual Obligation". Even the Team Leader (Some one called AJAY) whom I had spoken to, confirmed such "Contractual Obligations" do not apply to individual connections.
Yesterday I had spoken to Sr. Executive Atul once again who had promised me that he will wave off the Oustanding Amount on my number which he did not do. Today morning I had called Airtel and spoken to them for 45 min after which they waved off the outstanding amount.
I want to make complaint for the following issues -
1) Airtel never gave me the correct information on my account
2) Portability request was rejected for wrong reasons
3) Customer Service gives false promises and they do not give services to the customer for which the customer has to suffer both mentally and monetarily.
