    Thumbs down Complaint against ORTEL COMMUNICATION LTD.

    I had called to ORTEL communication ltd. for new connection to then toll free number 1800-419 -6060. The Ortel person asked me to give my address and said that a person for Ortel office would come and get the details from me. As per their assurance the person immediately came the next day and Atook my documents and the booking amount required for the wired broadband plan and said that the connection would be delivered within two days. Now it has been 150 days(5 months) the connection has not been yet setup . On asking them they only assured me to connect with in 3-4 days but connection is benn set up yet.On calling them they either dont answer the call or they give some false assurance.

    Default Ortel dissconnection - Fraud

    I have disconnected the internet and Cable TV connection on 28th April. They have received / recoverd all the equipmet from me and handed me a dissconnction form containing the details. They have informed that I will be refunded the deposit amount within 45-60 days. (its 7 days according to the Ortel website) When I called them after 60 days they said there is some problem and the check or refund amount should come from Orissa. They kept on saying this for a month and quoting to settle the amount today. But to my surprise.. when I called the customer care to find the status of the refund .. she told that it will take a month or so..to refund as ther is a problem in processing after confirming from their accountant.

    The service was disconnected for the service of intrenet was not at all good and the Cable TV have no channels which were promised to be provided at the start.

    The servise is also the worst ever seen. I would not recomend Ortel.... for it has no care for the customer.. and making fool promising while refunding... beware!!!!

    Default forcing to take a plan

    hi,
    i m a doctor.i have taken ortel broadband plan with cons no. 681235...during connection i was notified to take the combo pack of internet and cable tv.as i am having digital set top box of ortel in home some months back.that was with cons no. 690665(value pack+basic pack).the digital tv was with an introductory offer of value +basic pack at Rs 200/ per 2 months.it included some sports channel.now wen they r not giving the sports channel,we asked nd voila they r saying that i have taken combo pack n our digital tv connection has been disconnected...and they r not willing to give the promised channels now and asking for more money.now we have no idea how this happened .kindly help..

    Default Waiting for the shifting of my Ortel Broadband connection

    Dear Sir,
    This is to intimate you that I have applied for shifting of my broadband connection from Shailashree Vihar to Chandra Nagar, Behind OMFED, Chandrasekharpur. I have paid the shifting charge of Rs. 500 on 9th March 2011 along with that I had submitted the Modem & charger. But till date my connection has not been shifted. Even, I have applied for the OTV Cable (Digital) in exchange of Tatasky and paid Rs. 200 since last 4-5 days. I have several times called the customer care number (0674-3911111) and given compliant, even I had spoken to Mr. Gupta one week back. But, each time everybody is saying it will be done in 2 days time since there is no cable connectivity to my current place, but I am yet to get the shifting done.

    Kindly restore the connection by tomorrow, otherwise I will have no other option but to seek the help of Consumer Forum.

    Default ortel broad band

    sir, i am unable to transact online registration at Income tax gov.of India online website, where as the same is done at other connections, inspite of my repeated complaints it could not be restored at my end.

    Default disconect m broand band communication without notice(cust ID-727191)

    Dear Sir,

    I have taken your Broand band connection as post paid for last three months.Today morning i found that my connection disconnected without notice.But i received call from our cuttack office that our download limit exceed the plan limit,soyour connection disconected.Please deposit Rs 100/- in our office for additional limit & our connection will autometicaly restored.Besides taht at the time of connection Application form filled up as Debasis Parida but m name appear in our account as Debasis panda.No change has made even i request several times.

    Angry Very poor customer service

    I, Dr. Anupam, have been a cable (****og) customer of Ortel in Raipur (Customer No 00658668). However in the month of June I received a bill of Rs 450 which I paid as the agent who used to collect bill did not come for the previous months. Again in the month of July I receive a bill of Rs 450!! On checking with the customer care in Shankar Nagar Raipur (0771-4081101) they told me that they had received only Rs 150 from the agent in June. Since the agent had not put his signature on the june bill, I was being held liable! I told them to confirm with the agent, but they did not do so. I was told the extra money would be refunded to me in next bill.
    Since I was shifting and the new place did not allow for cable I went again on August 8 to your customer care service where I applied for disconnection. When I asked about the extra payment the customer care agent / head (Ms. Parveen or so she told) was very rude. She told 'Ab to disconnect ho gaya, ab kuch nahi milega!!' What kind of sentence is that!!
    I do not need the money, but this kind of behavior has made me a permanent antagonist of Ortel.

    Default to discopnnect cable cdonnection

    Sir
    inspite my telephonic message (on 11.8.11) at first and after that later myself personelly going to your office (on 20.8.11)to shift my cable connection to my dining hall from drawing room, nothing has been done so far. The matter was simple. I had sufficient wire (cable) in my house which was taken by your staff when i took second connection and at the time of disconnection of second connection your people had taken the extra cable without informing. I am to inform youmthat with the extra cable i was freely shifting the tv inside my house. I am a consumer since 1999. Now they are charging me for cable.

    So after being harrassed by your people, i want the cable connection disconnected from today i.e. 24.08.11. It further pains me that i had to deposit one month charge for second connection without using ot. Your people had said me to adjust it in my bill in the next month which was not done.

    Default Lie & Deception

    I called for a Ortel Digital connection on 21st August, wherein a guy by the name of Mayadhar promptly came around 8 pm in the evening & explained me in details, took cash for 6 months period & promised a installation the very next day. 22nd Aug nobody came. 23rd a guy came installed the cable wire only 7 said that the digital card has some problems & will come the very next day to finish off the installation. I have made atleast 4/5 calls to there representative Mayadhar & today is 29th August. Except false committments there is nothing. Every time I call he says he will come the next day. Hopeless & just pure cheating.

    Default For TV Line

    Dear Sir/Mam,
    This is to inform you that i Mr Ajit Tiwari from Prachivihar Bhubaneswar Paid Rs300.00 to connect the line.But They are not coming as per the timing to install the Cable which i have shifted from Air tel Line to your Line but I am not satisfied with initial response and now they are not lifting my phone call so please take a necessary action orelse i will mail for further senior.

    Angry false commitments

    it has been 7 hours that i have made my my complain ,and there has been no action taken up against my complain ,so freinds i have decided to remove my cable connection and take tata sky connections and even u do te same ,its the worst cable connection i have ever seen in my life .ortel communication is a expert in givin false commitments

    Default poor custumer service
