Idea cellular, in their bill date 12.11.2011 have charged me to pay Rs 1259.34 with due date for payment as 27.11.2011.
In this bill they have put up an amount of Rs 116.85 as "adjustment " amount without any details of this amount in the existing bill.
The explanation given to on contacting Idea's 198 no, - communication id 152743179 on 23rd Nov 2011 at 10.37 AM is that this is a SMS charges of 6 th oct which was left out by them. These details were not provided in the latest aforesaid bill making me spend lot of time to figure out why this outstanding amount + I need to make long phone calls to IDEA after goining through their IVR system as well.
The trouble is any thing you want to clarify on the bill details, we need to make call to their numbers 198 or nodal officer no. 9850003689, these calls are charged to consumers even if the clarification is due to the mistake of the service providing company as in this case.
On top of this my calls made to both 198 and their nodal officer for greaviences is charged !!
I need a compensation from IDEA for putting me to harrassment due to their ineffeciency in accounting & billing.
I need a relief and make sure that such billing mistakes are penalised to the service provider and not charge my calls made for clarifications on bill amounts that are being disputed due to the ineffeciency of service provider.
Request you guidance to file this complaint in consumer court.
