I use an apple iphone.
In Jun 2011 I had problem with my vodafone prepaid connection, the amount was getting debited automatically when I had not requested for any 3g connection.
I lost close to Rs 550 for no fault of mine.
I visited Annanagar vodafone store and the 2 other vodafone store in kilpauk, and finally in kellys vodafone store after placing a complaint they sorted out my problem.
The person there said that he would send 3 different sms to stop the net activation and once the E symbol next to the vodafone logo disappears it means that the 3g is deactivated and would not debit anymore of my amount.
My account was in minus by then, after 1 day the E disappeared .
I would never require the 3 G connection as I have wifi connection both at home and office and for my travel I have an ipad.
So 3g in vodafone is of no use to me, I never subscribed for it so by mid Jun the problem got sorted out as a result of my complaint call in kellys vodafone store and the E disappeared from the phone.
I have one other official vodafone number as well.
This number I recharge once every month.
For the next 5 months there was no problem.
I the last recharge on 10th Dec 2011 for Rs 333, the day before yesterday incidentally when I checked my mobile the balance
was only Rs . 35 and the E has again appeared.
I would have hardly utilized 50- 70 rs for calls the rest all has gone due to the un utilized 3g .The E has again appeared on my phone.
Again I am at losing for no fault of mine.
Why is this recurring? I cannot always be monitoring my mobile for the E symbol, I have better job than that...
I went to the Vodafone store at Mandavelli last Wednesday and spoke to Abdul Raheem ,
He tried sending the sms CAN 3G to 444 and 111 but both the sms bounced back.
Then he tried to help me by sending out a mail and said that the E would disappear in 24 hrs , but even now the E is still there and the balance is only Rs. 5 in my mobile now. Even at your vodafone support which is supposed to be a place to sort out the customers problems, they don't have answers to customers complaints. They are deficit of technical knowledge and were not even able to retrieve the last complaint of us handled in the kellys branch.
Does vodafone maintain such a poor software to maintain Customer history...!!!!!!!!!!
Why do we waste our time and visit the store and record our complaint if it is not saved for future reference.
Maxwell Anto in the Mandavelli store was very rude, he was not even willing to listen to the full history and was readily willing to switch us off to a different service provider..Finally we gave the complaint to Abdul Raheem , he wanted to help us but still the problem is not sorted out.
Now I want three things to be addressed immediately:
1. Firstly the E has to be removed, which means disconnect the 3 g.
2. Refund of the un utilized amount , both was promised the day before but still not accomplished.
3. How was 3g activated on my mobile when it was not requested by me?
I called up the customer care through my mobile today morning and the response of Ranganath who took the call was not satisfactory and un responsive (feedback on his service was sent through sms separately)
I am writing this mail with the hopes that it would reach some responsible hand in Vodafone who would care for the customer and rectify the problem.
Let’s see if the Vodafone care really cares for us or if I just need to bin this sim and switch to a different service provider..........
