On saturday(12-06-2010) i got a call on my airtel number from a person saying that he is calling from delhi tis hazari police station (his number is 9312616568) and said he has complain for me for amount of Rs.65000 and when i asked him why all this is done then he said me that he is providing me the contact number of an advocate who will tell me in detail of this... and provide me case number NW-365

Advocate name : Advocate Rakesh Agarwal
Contact Number: 09871896709

When i called on that number a lady picked up a call and said she is Advocate Sunita from Delhi Tis Hazari court chamber number 511.

She told me that there is a bill amounting 1850 is due for mobile number 9214444858.

And said that they are forwarding my case further and i will have to visit the delhi court for further proceedings and if i want to stop all this then asked me to pay Rs.1850 on any tata store in AC number 933910098 and make her conform that amount is paid then she will stop the proceedings. And if that amount is wrongly charged from me then she will file a case against company and get my money back along with compensation in just 3-4 days.

Then I enquire on tata store that on whose name the number is issued then it is on name on Ashwin and neither his address is same as mine nor his identity proof is of mine. None of the detail matches with mine other then his name.

Then i called her back and said that none of the details matches to mine.. then she said ur call details are same and asked me to pay the bill otherwise she will forward it in court. Then i said no disconnected the call.

One more thing i don't know from where they got my Airtel number.

On further enquiry through google i came to know that these are recovering agencies who employ such techniques to recover pending bills.

All this incidence spoiled my time unnecessary and mental peace for 2 hours. And my daily work schedule as i have gone to tata store for enquiry.
They called me without any proof and asked me to deposit bill.. if i would have deposited then they would have never returned back.

He did not mentioned his name or purpose of call

just said
"are you Mr. XXXX?
"your summons are in my hand, and i am calling from tees hazari court"
you have to appear before court tomorrow (Which was suppose to be Saturday)
i heard him, asked questions about who complained,
he said Mr. R.K.Aggarwal has complained against you
he also asked do you need his number, to talk
(Which i neither inquired nor asked for)
I searched on google

I got a Similar Call and the person on the call had a similar conversation with me as posted in this thread.

The person ( MR. Rakesh/ Rajesh Aggarwal ) gave me a mobile number and asked for talk to advocate who file a case against me in court. He told me to appear at the Delhi court the next preceding day. I called to that advocate n ask him about the matter. he told me this case is from reliance mobile company against me for non payment of my mobile bill. He told me to go to the reliance web world n pay the bill otherwise he will chrage the case of cheating n p****ty of Rs. 40000 + against me.

His Number is : +91 8860735847 .

I would say there is no need to panic, just avoid taking the call and avoid giving any information like telephone number and address. When i enquired, I came to know that these things are very common as these cases go to the recovery cell, and they use these sort of tactics.

Courts usually send notices by registered post through the Indian Postal Department or served by a court official, and give sufficient time to respond. And the standard practice is you should have been served a legal notice first by a company's lawyer.

First one lady +918003816810 told me that she is calling from delhi court & you have case number such & such against you. You have to talk to AK Singh +917597341621 he is advocate, he will guide me further.
I called him to undestand the matter, he told me you have to pay Rs. 2580 to settle this out of the court.

I checked these both number and found they are from rajhsthan area & searching some more I find this consumerforum link.

I am now little relaxed to read these fradulent act to haress people, but still not satisfied about that mischief tone she used to forward the file for further process.

I recieved a similar call right now and I searched the number on net.

I reporting this complain to RBI, local Police Statation and leading chambers and association.

Same call from the number of 9312616568 & 8527952781 were came at my number as well. but i filled a complain at delhi police HQ now with all the numbers details and other numbers i could muster of these people,lets wait the outcome, they are surely paying soon for their deeds.
dont call their reference ever or pick the numbers and straightway lodge a complaint

Today I received call from lady ( 9718995137) claimed to be calling from Tis Hazari Information Department. She told me that some company have filed case against me under IPC 403 and told me to contact some advocate for more information.

I told her to first send a notice and then only my LAWYER will respond. These are some THUGS trying to make some quick bucks.

Do not get panic and tell them to send notice and you will response as per your convenience.

I got a call on 9th march 2012 on my reliance CDMA phone from ( mobile phone 8459057226 ) some one called RAM SINGH , who claimed he is an investigating officer, and there is a case come up for filing on my name for court, I have not paid much attention to his talking and asked him to call me from his LAND LINE PHONE as the voice is not clear , he gave the phone to some one near to him and he started saying the same things, again i insisted call me from LAND LINE PHONE .. your voice is not clear , then he disconnected the phone ,
Today 12th march 2012, I received the call from 8459054259 and again saying the same matter, and told me note down the phone number of an ADVOCATE called S K CHOWDHURY, I said I dont want any phone number, if any problem comes up I have my lawer who will respond for all the notices issued by court, then he disconnected the phone , I feel there are fraudulent gangs collecting the Names and addresses of the RELIANCE CDMA and other mobile users and trying to scare and cheat them by cheap tricks.... I posted this only to alert the other people who will receive similar calls, if any one you receive a similar call, plz post it here with phone numbers so that we can save others from these cheaters.

I am too getting calls the same way stating I havent made a bill payment of Rs 2400, I had made this payment before i came to Bangalore. These guys are litterally harassing me and not only that they actually called up my bosses about this issue. I request you to help me before i take it further.
