    Default Vodafone Data Plans.

    To whomsoever it may concern,

This is to inform you that I was wrongly misguided by the Vodafone employees at both places viz. on the phone as well as at their gallery.

I use an Iphone 4S and I had asked them to suggest me suitable data-plan according to my usage. They suggested me to activate the GPRS @ Rs 49/- scheme and along with it told me to activate Zero-Rental I-plan for Iphone.

They promised me that I would not be charged until the 1st 500 MB of usage, as part of th GPRS @ Rs 49/- plan and only when I exceed 500 MB of data-usage, would I be charged 10 paisa per 10 kb (Rs 10/- per MB) thereafter. However, when I got the bill, they charged me full Rs 1,359/- as I had consumed 135.9 MB of usage.

When I went to their Vodafone gallery again, they told me that "No such" plan existed for Iphone although I had mentioned them prior to activating the GPRS @ Rs 49/- plan more than 10 times, that I use an Iphone 4S. They further told me that I will have to pay according to the 10 paisa per 10Kb.

Further, they also told me on the phone that for "I-Phone" you have "special data-plans" although I didn't purchase the Iphone 4S under any contractual obligations from Vodafone but had bought a "Factory Unlocked" Iphone from USA. Mind you, these "special" plans are more than 2-3 times the cost of any ordinary data plans for other phones. This clearly means, they are creating a bias 'against' Iphone users and what they mean to say by this is that "Pay more if you can afford an expensive phone".

I 'requested' them to reverse the excess payment they have charged me by going to their Vodafone gallery but they flatly refused.
This is clear-cut case of "looting" unsuspecting consumers. I didn't expect this from a global MNC like Vodafone but I guess it has got in the league of any other "ordinary" Indian carrier.

Hope my voice gets heard and a suitable action is taken against Vodafone for "dual-pricing" just because you own an Iphone which you haven't purchased from them and that they know you can pay more.

I would not be able to explain the nature of my complaint within the 300 "character" limit in the link you provided. This further shows how "seriously" Vodafone Intends to serve the customer.
The mischief undertaken by Vodafone is so extensive that it cannot be explained in a "tiny" word limit specified by you. You people are confident that the nature of complaint cannot be bigger than 300 characters but sorry to say that, your acts cannot be explain in such small limits.
If you people "genuinely" feel like addressing my problem then please provide me a link where there are no "such" limits. (Similarly to your mischiefs which are are "limitless").

Thanks for the swift reply. However please let me know as to whether the above assurance pertaining to the reversal of excess payment can be considered as a 'material' proof about Vodafone's commitment to reverse my excess payment.
I would be receiving my next bill around the 10th of February. In case there is no reversal to the extent mentioned above, can I show the people at Vodafone Gallery your above letter as a 'letter of proof' ??

    Thanks and regards,
    Harsh Kothari.
