    Thumbs down Harassment of Tata Company Broadband Service

    Sir,
    I have been a customer of Tata Photon + postpaid (950 plans with 5GB free usage) since August, 2010. I have been paying all its bills faithfully from the beginning. Suddenly from the month of October, 2011, the bill was overcharged to INR 3,499.00/-. I knew that the bill was wrong, because I never use its service in this way. My main works with this photon + service is to check and reply mails and to brows for articles and news etc. and this is also done most of the time during the nights. I do not use it for heavy download activities except some small files sometimes. All of my previous bills were in between INR 800 to 1000 or little bit more sometimes. Though I knew that something was wrong with their billing system, I paid the bill for October, 2011 as I would like to continue to use this service without any fight. But again to my utter surprise, I found the bill of November, 2011 overcharged to INR 3,349/-. In spite of my clarifications by revealing a few of their mistakes, they continue to force me to pay this overcharged bill. Again the worse is , instead of solving the present problem, they continue to force me to pay INR 4,691/- again! This is a terrible harassment against me!

    I revealed to them a few of their bill reading or update mistakes:
    1. I received an sms from their customer care dated on 12/12/2011 at 12:54 pm that reads as, “your approx. unbilled usage as of midnight, 10/12/2011 is Rs. 70.6 (excludes discounts/monthly charges/roaming usage). Actual amount will reflect in the next bill.”
    2. Again on 13/12/2011 at 11:36 am I received an sms that also reads as,“your approx. unbilled usage as of midnight, 11/12/2011 is Rs. 75.5 (excludes discounts/monthly charges/roaming usage). Actual amount will reflect in the next bill.”

    The above bill reading sms is totally wrong and a great cheating sign of their service, because on 10 and 11 of December, 2011 I was out of station and I did not take my laptop or photon data card with me. And Nobody uses this service on the mentioned dates. From the last week of December, 2011, I have completely stopped using their service, but still they continue to update their usage bill!
    I am keeping many of their sms of such usage updates in my phone.

    I consider this service of Tata Indicom a terrible harassment to the customers and violation of human rights. I see hundreds of similar complains online. Tata company have been kept on victimising people under such issues. I came across many online complainers that such innocent victims are generally threatened by sending legal notice to pay the overcharged/wrong bills. It may soon happen to my life also. This means that Tata broadband service became a threat to many people of this country. This is a violation of human rights behind the curtain of human service. Therefore, I call upon all civil organisations, human rights organisations, freedom fighters to stop such ongoing Tata Company’s harassment and human rights violation towards me and towards the innocent people of this country. Please stop this service before it becomes a rooted evil in our land. Please save us from such looters by removing them permanently from the our land.

    Therefore, I humbly request you to protect me from this harassment. I shall ever remain thankfull to you for your kind act in this matter.

    Hi Dear

    They people are good for nothing.My suggestion to you pls go to Consumer court and file the complaint against Tata Tele. Like me.

    They are not able to solve your problem.
