Thumbs down Idea Net Setter permanently disabling connection

I had purchased an Idea Net Setter card in December 2010. Since I was not able to connect to the internet using that connection , I lodged a complaint with their Customer Care.
It was only after 3 months after lodging the complaint that I received a call from the Customer Care, who indicated that the reason my connection was not working was because it had been permanently disabled.
Their arguement was that the "address verification" was unsuccesful in which case the connection waas temporarily disabled for 15 days. Thereafter it was permanently disabled.
    Following are my concerns:
    1. If during a random verification, there is no one to answer the door bell, do you straight away disable the connection without even bothering to call up, SMS, email the concerned person (considering the Idea form had collected all such data at the time of buying a new connection).
    2. How do they expect someone to be present at their residence all the time. Have people got no work other than sit home and wait for a random verification. Least that could be done after the first one was unsucessful was to get in touch and schedule a new time for the same.
    3. Thirdly, if the connection had been disbled temporarily for 15 days, why was no notification given to me so that I could take the necessary action. How am I supposed to know when the verification has failed and the 15 day clock has begun? I only got to know of this when I placed a complaint regarding the super slow connection speed.
    4. The customer care representative mentioned taht I need to get a new connection. My question is how am I to be assured that such a thing wont repeat itself, and why should I pay again for the same when I received no notification of anything going wrong from my end? Instead, why cant the disabled connection be reactivated.
    5. Ground reality is that Idea's services are a far cry from the rosy picture show through its advertisements. From the Idea executive's solution to the problem, I am led to believe that disconnecting connections citing some random reason and making customers pay for a new one all over again might be one of Idea's money making gimmicks.

In conclusion, please take my advice and avoid Idea Net Setter at all costs. Customer Care is just a fancy word. Those are out to take you for a ride.
