Hi,
I bought a Reliance Net Connect data card connection in Kolkata through Vriti Infocom on 28th July, 2011 and paid an advance amount of 2523 to Deepak Singh/Alok towards getting an Advanced Rental Unlimited plan (2.1 mbps till 5 GB, advance 3 months). In spite of paying an advance for 3 months, i got 2 subsequent bills from Reliance for August and September and my line has been terminated since 13th September, 2011. On visiting the Reliance Web World in Kolkata, i was told that my Datacard has been updated in the wrong plan and the right plan will be updated within 3 working days. On following up with them again and again (which involved calling the customer care at least 15-20 times, visiting the Reliance Web World in Reliance House, Chowringhee, Kolkata 4-5 times), i was informed that the Vriti guys who took my money has stolen it and ran away (this was after I showed them my receipt and all other papers). I was assured by both Reliance and Vriti after visiting their offices again, that my system would be reconnected and plan suitably updated. After writing umpteenth mails to the Reliance Nodal Officer Dola Bose/ Mahendra Pandey, nothing more than assurances was given. On talking again with the Vriti team, which now has changed to newer people, i was last informed 10 days back that my number will be reconnected again. Its been 1 month since my datacard has stopped working and all i am getting is assurances. Meanwhile to continue with my work I had to take a new data card, and now Reliance/Vriti has said that since I have bought the device, i wont be reimbursed my remaining amount. Currently I am still talking to Vriti guys (Dibyendu/Pratyush/Manoj from finance) and left all hope of my money being reimbursed. I am being made to run from person to person to, without being given any assistance.
Any idea where I can lodge a formal complaint against Vriti cheating and poor Reliance Customer care.
