Hello

This is regarding my robbery of my mobile phone while getting down from BEST Bus on 7th July around 2:45 PM at Hiranandai Stop, Powai. Bus No either 523 524 -- either one which was going to Vashi Station or Naka.

My concern about sharing is that Bus management ( Bus Conductor & Drivers & authority ) should be aware abt the Mobile Robbery occuring recently in BEST Bus.

There was a Gang of 6 People in the Bus. I was a sitting on Ladies Seat, where 2 men continously standing besides and staring at my activity and my bag. When i had to getup to get down at hiranandani Bus stop. Bus was empty behind, however there was crowd gather at the front gangway while getting down. There were 2 ppl in left and 2 ppl in right. When i asked man ahead of me if he is getting now. He said Yes and both were standing ahead of me. When bus stop arrived I was not allowed to get down by them. I had to force myself. During that time. Man behind must has cut my bag and removed my Cell phone. It was Nokia 6235 - Tata CDMA Phone. I realised that mobile was lost when i crossed the road and caught auto to reach my ofice at Hiranandani. By that time Bus had already left.

There are active Gangs moving in the crowded bus making passengers easy prey to rob their belonging. Kindly keep a eye on such active gangs in the Bus as it can be one of terroist gangs as well.

I feel its a Bus conductor's duty to make sure there is a proper management in the Bus. If he find such gangs or suspicious activities, he needs to check with them immediately.

I request you to check such activities. I have lost hopes of my getting my cell phone back but if BEST Management and Conductor & Driver of the Bus is alert then such activities can be stopped to some extent.

Instrument used could have been sharp to cut my bag and take away the phone, what if it was hurt at wrong place like human body??

Kindly check. I am not sure whether this complaint section is actively monitored or not. But wanted to share my experience so other passenegers are alerted.

Thanking You.
