Respected Sir,
I am a frequent traveler by the Rajdhani express. The quality of service in these trains has been degradeed that i now avoid going by trains altogether.The quality of food in Rajdhani Express is just pathetic.I used to frequently travel in long distance trains such as Trivandrum to New Delhi Rajdhani Express.Do they think the passengers traveling in it are just worth of their degraded standards??The food course menu doesn't change, not even for once during the whole trip.Never, even when asked for, water bottles are delivered (not even one per day.May be they can get money by selling it somewhere outside).I had to buy water bottles for me and my family many a times from outside.Cleanliness remains just another question unanswerable.Its pity that they charge so much money for such a inhuman service.Like most of the government services in India, this too lies in peril. On 1st August in Rajdhani 2432 was the worst experience of my life in train journey.
These are my few complaints against Indian railways,
1. Behavior of catering staff was pathetic, they behave rudely and some time use abusive language on asking for extra meal.
2. Quality n quantity of food served in Rajdhani exp. was very very poor, unhygienic, not up to standards . Food given in all 3 meals was so less in quantity that passenger have to starve in journey or buy food from the station vendors.
3. only 1 news paper was given between 4 passengers of B6 53,54,55,56.
4. Asking tips for the service.
4. On asking for mineral water bottle the catering staff have shows the railway policy that only 1 bottle water is authorized for 20 hrs journey and total 2 bottles of water was given for journey of
36 hrs from Delhi to Bangalore, for extra bottle of water u have to pay 12 rupees per bottle
IF A PASSENGER HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER IN RAJDHANI EXPRESS, THEN WHY SHOULD WE BOOK TICKET IN RAJDHANI.
according to medical book of harrison '' MINIMUM REQUIREMENT OF WATER FOR A ADULT HUMANE BODY IS 3 LITERS, AND IN RAJDHANI EXP. ONLY 1 LTR WATER IS GIVEN IN 20 HRS,
WHICH CAN GIVE RISE TO POTENTIALLY LETHAL MEDICAL CONDITION -- DEHYDRATION, HYPOGLYCEMIA AND PASSENGER MAY COLLAPSE DURING SUMMER.''
IS IT MEDICALLY AND MORALLY RIGHT ?
RAJDHANI EXPRESS IS PRIDE OF NATION BUT BECAUSE OF SERVICES PROVIDED IN IT MAKE US ASHAMED OF CALLING IT AS PRIDE OF NATION.
SO ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO INDIAN RAILWAYS TO PLEASE UPGRADE THE STANDARDS OF RAJDHANI EXPRESS.
All these complaints are logged in complaint register with train superintendent so please take appropriate action.
