Respected Sir,
I am lecturer in Anna University chennai and am aged 49. I am a basket ball player and a Roman Catholic Priest too. I had gone to Kerala sometime after 25th of December 2009, for a technical meeting. I had booked my return ticket on 29th of December 2009. In my church there, they had arranged a basket ball match with fathers and veterans around for 31st of December. This was arranged by the school run by the church, as part of their Basket ball tournament. As i was present in Trichur, they wanted me to play for the fathers. making all alternate arrangements for a mass in chennai. I played the match, (my own coach was there playing against fathers) and lost it, during which i got my knee problem agrevated. I travelled the same night (31st) and reaching chennai, later I filed a TDR for the ticket of 29th which i did not travel.
About 3 weeks back, it became impossible for me to open my irctc account. on enquiring they replied that they deactivated my account on account of false TDR filing. They on request, sent me the ticket which was the one for 29th of December 2009.! the PNR number is 4525696340
How can i be blamed, when i have not travelled? As a lecturer I had to sign in my register here, for 30th and 31st. I have not signed there. I have the proof from the register. On 31st night i have travelled by indian railway itself.
Now if the TTE has knowingly or unknowingly, by mistake or not, ticked against my name, am i to be blamed. how do they expect me to prove that i have not travelled, than these facts i bring out?
do they expect me to check with the TTE or the database of Indian Railways, as to whether they have ticked againest my name, before i file a TDR?
If the TTE is doing this knowingly, to collect additional money without receipt, are there not ways and means to check it, than victimising innocents like me?
By a TDR, all that i am to get will be some Rs. 150 whereas, when i do not sign in the register for 2 days, i loose at least Rs 1500.
Even after explaing my side like this, there has not been a reply from Railways side so far. Nor have they re-activated my account so far. when i had to cancel some tickets for the 4th and 5th of this month, they continued to write back to me saying i had another email when i registered and i should use that email alone to correspond to me. I had replied that, i had changed my email and the previous one is no more active. Till now i do not know whether my 4th and 5th tickets are cancelled or not. Am I to file another TDR for that?
do they expect us to keep teh ticket of 31st December 2009, till now to prove that i have travelled on 31st instead of 29th?

I request you to advise me as to what to do next, or you please take the necessary steps
yours sincerely,

Fr. A. K George
