Default Indian Railways Frauding on Ticket Refund

Hello

This is Mayank here and I am part of Indian Air Force as Flying Officer posted at Kharagpur. I booked online ticket through IRCTC and booking details were as follows :
1. PNR Number 6441728636
Transaction ID 0227699985
From Kolkata to Guwhati through GHY GARIB RATH
2.PNR Number 6343813287
Transaction ID 0227685420
From Kolkata to Guwhati through GHY GARIB RATH

This train was was derailed after a suspected bomb blast on the trackbetween Chautara and Gossaigaon Hat Station in Kokrajhar. And we had to cancel our journey. We enquired about ticket cancellation from Booking Office and officer over there told us that will be automatically refunded within 30 days.

After 30 Days, when I didn't get any Refund - I wrote to IRCTC about this and initially they replied me that this train was not cancelled as per their records. After that I passed them Google News URL where complete description was mentioned that this train was Derailed and couple of people were killed.

After that they are saying me that we can't refund your amount as you can file your return withing 30 days of journey.

Now my question is that :
1. If that is a Term and Condition, then why is that not mentioned on E Ticket
2. Why the hell that booking officer didn't inform me about this
3. When I first wrote to IRCTC why they didn't inform me the same at that time only. Why the train was not displayed as cancelled in their records

Please guide me what I can do to get my money back.

Default Non refund of cancel ticket amount

Hi,



I am Rajesh Sood and I booked online ticket through IRCTC and booking details were given below



PNR No 2301969129
Transaction ID 0177284109
Train No 2312
From Ambala cantt. To Aligarh
date of journey 22.01.2010


This train was late on that day more than 15 hours or even not start from Kalka for two days due to heavy fog during those days because I have to urgently reach at Aligarh so I was able to fill TDR on 24.01.2010 for reimbursement of ticket fare but till date I have not received any reimbursement from Railway for that ticket amount and now in one of mail from IRCTC they told me they are not reimbursing my money because I was late in filling the TDR.



Below is mail from IRCTC



Dear Customer,



With Reference to your PNR No:2301969129, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : IRCTC/REFUND/10/02/02.08.10/ER on 25-Aug-2010 stating that "TDR was not filed within 06 hrs after the departure of the train". In case you require any further assistance, please mail us at tdrprocess@irctc.co.in.

I have one question how can I submit TDR in 6 hours while traveling to Aligarh by Bus in night.

Angry TDR Not Refunded - What is the max time required?>

Hi

I have cancelled one of my e-tickets and still awaiting refund back to my account.
What is the normal window in reality apart from what IRCTC mentions (90 days - amazingly 90 days is something incredibly nonsense)
