Hello, My name is Mr Mervin Fernandes. I refer to my ticket no 959569096 with PNR 825- 8921578 with a journey date of 8/8/2011. The TDR form no is 522694 of Panvel Railway station. The train no was 16337 Okha-Ers Exp and the berth no was S7 43. I could not board the train as I reached Panvel station when the above train had already left. I immediately filled in the TDR from at the Station Master's office and submitted it the next day (9/8/11) at CST Mumbai. It has been more than 6 months since I submitted the TDR and I am yet to receive the money for this unused ticket.
How long does it take for the railways to process such refunds? Why shouldn't there be a law where we can sue the railways for this delay. The very fact that I could not undertake the journey and filled in the TDR form on the date of journey and the station master marked my ticket as cancelled is a fact that I did not undertake the journey. So, why didn't the authorities refund me at that particular moment. I hope this message reaches the relevant people in the Railways.
