I am Mihir Soneji Residing at Rajkot Gujarat would like to make complaint again IRCTC.
Tuesday 24th January 2012 I bought ticket for delhi in Tatkal seva with Hapa Jammu Tavi express.
My journey was from Rajkot to New Delhi. As now a days it's compulsory to give a copy of valid indentity
proof if a person is buying tickets through Tatkal seva and for same I also gave copy of Driver's License.
Next day early morning on 25th Jan 2012 I had my journey, I reached to railway stataion, during my entry into
train there were lots of people and my pocket was picked, my wallet was in my rear left side pocket with my original driver's license
, some visiting cards and change money around Rs.450, Luckyly my train ticket was in my back pocket and had money around Rs. 3000 in my
rear right side pocket wrapped in my handkerchief.
Before Vankaner TT came to checked my ticket and he asked me for original Driver's license, I told them that my wallet was stolen and my original driver's license was
in my wallet. For same TT didn't trust me said that that is fake excuse and I must show my driver's license.
I requested and offered him to show my passport as it is an International Identity proof but he said as I have gave copy of my driver's license
it's compulsory that I must show original. I said in trains getting baggage or wallet stolen is nothing unusual but he said that either I pay fine
or I should move to General's compartment. I requested him that I am a genuine person, I have my own ticket, my name is in your list and I can show you
my another identity proof with same name and my photo in it so you can confirm that I am the same person.
He said that if he will allow me to go like this, mark as ok in his list and incase of next TT will check again and found that I don't have my driver's license
then he will fine me and also first TT will be punished.
But the fact is only, In a day if he collect certain amount of fine then he will get commission from that and this is the reason
They don't want to tolerate anything, and passanger like me with original ticket are getting harrassment and have to pay ungenuine fine.
And they are saying that this they are doing to prevent ticket black where from other side people from ticket office are giving tickets to
travel agents to sell it in black.
Even during my journey I saw many places that people who are doing daily up-down for the job with general ticket and daily pass, they were
travelling in Reservation coach but at same time TT didn't do anything, this is pretty common revari to Delhi and in return Delhi till Jaipur or ajmer.
So my question is only that why should a genuine passanger like me should go through all these harrassment and problems?
Even they fined not only 250 Rs. as fine, they fine me 250 Rs. as fine plus 515 Rs. of my whole ticket.
With this email I am attaching scanned copy of my ticket and receipt of my fine.
I have request to Consumer forum to take action in this matter and give me the right justice and reward in same.
I am Genuine passenger and I have never traveled without ticket or have never travelled in Reserverd compartment with the ticket of
Gerneral compartment.
I'm waiting for response regarding my this request.
