Dear Sir,

I am Sangeetha, working in a MNC, residing in Nungambakkam. I would like to file a case against the Railway ticket counter staff in Nungambakkam, Chennai. I have been observed this particular lady, in counter 2 (name unknown, age should be 50 plus and wearing specs, slim and she comes in the general shift) is behaving in a rude manner with all the passengers who is coming to buy tickets.

On 9th September 2010, at 9.00 am (Friday, last week), I went to buy a ticket. But there was a very long queue. Out of two general counters, only one was opened. We stood in the queue for more than a hour. This is happening everyday which causes inconvenience and delay to work to everyone.

I just enquired that lady staff, about the reason for not opening the other counter. But unexpectedly, she started shouting at me, and used more nasty words. She was so arrogant, used more bad words in front of everybody. This lady behaves in the same way with everybody and every complains about it.I think this is a shame full matter for Indian Railways for having hiring such ill mannered people at a public place. This was highly immoralising and harassment.

Just because they are the Government staff, they are taking more advantage, since we are in position to buy the ticket for that time.

I would really appreciate if the higher official of Railways take some necessary action against this lady staff, so that we can restore our respect to Railways.

Thanks in advance.
Sangeetha
