    Default Railways compartment numbering complaint

    Dear Sir Madam

    I had to travel boarding from Coimbatore by Eranakulam Bangalore Express at 12.40 pm. THis train has both seats and berths. I am a frequent traveller and for the seat protion of compartments the compartments do not carry which coach they are and some faint marking in chalk which is not visible. On both sides of compartments why cant railways first do such a simple thing as puting a board as to what coach number it is before thinking of updating and modernisation. I am a frequent traveller and many time in many similar trains this is the case and no one know what coach it is and we are made to run around carrying luggages like fools. In most cases the train stoppage train is very few minutes. The other day there were thre girls who fell down in their rush to board beacause they cldnt find theier coach. Thee would have been a casualty that day. So I thought all over india and in souther railways at least after seeing this mail please introduce a system where there will be no coach without the metal small board in its slot in the middle of comparment showwing the number of the compatment as also general etc. Will appreiciate an assurance from railways. Not a train should move out without coach numbers on both sides compartment in proper place. THis si so because the platform position changes many times to left and right. I really wonder why such a simple thing cand be done and resposibility fixed on the people.

    · One of the passenger booked on an E-ticket is required to present any of the identity cards noted below in original during the train journey and same will be accepted as a proof of identity failing which all the passengers will be treated as travelling without ticket and shall be dealt as per extant Railway Rules. Valid Ids:- Voter Identity Card / Passport / PAN Card / Driving License / Photo ID card issued by Central / State Govt /Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School or College for their students /Nationalised Bank Passbook with photograph /Credit Cards issued by Banks with laminated photograph.

    · The accommodation booked is not transferable and is valid only if one of the ID card noted above is presented during the journey. The passenger should carry with him the Electronic Reservation Slip print out. In case the passenger does not carry the electronic reservation slip, a charge of Rs.50/- per ticket shall be recovered by the ticket checking staff and an excess fare ticket will be issued in lieu of that.

    · E-ticket cancellations are permitted through www.irctc.co.in by the user. In case e-ticket is booked through an agent, please contact respective agent for cancellations.

    Angry related to wrong information by rail inquiry 139

    sir,
    I am bijay kumar mishra,i was called up on 139 yesterday,my train was 6/03/2011 (garibrath 12353) from patna to new delhi.when i called on 139 they give me information your train is late by 1 hour from rajendra nagar terminal,patna(bihar).when i reached the station train already schedual departured on time.there were no late infomation from station but rail inquery (139) passed a wrong information.

    so, please the needful
