Case 1: I booked a train ticked from RAJ GANGPUR(GP) to KHARAGPUR JN(KGP)
PNR Number: 6340715351; Transaction ID: 0205536320; Train No: 2872; Date Of Journey: 23/4/2010, CC for my wife and son. However, on journey date one ticket was confirmed and other was not confirmed. Since the ticked was in CC they could not travel, and subsequently I filed a TDR for refund. However, as per ref no. Reference No: ekt2010042401203078 IRCTC regretted to refund the money.
Case –II: I booked two tickets for travail Howrah to Rourkela on same date (12/9/2011).
Ticket -1: PNR Number: 6201015339; Transaction ID: 0388866873
Date Of Journey: 12/9/2011; Train No. & Name: 18030/SHM LTT EXPRESS
Ticket 2: PNR No: 6101008211; Transaction ID: 0388787787; Train No. & Name: 12860/GITANJALI EXP; Date of Journey: 12-Sep-2011
But I did my journey on Ticket 2 and then filed TDR for refund of Ticked 1.
Then on Dec. 2, 2011 I received the following mail: REGRET Dear Customer, With Reference to your PNR No:6201015339, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : In case you require any further assistance, please mail us at tdrprocess@irctc.co.in or call us on 011-23345900 With regards, TDR TEAM. Immediately I asked for the reason why it was regretted.
Then I received the following reply:
Dear customer, Sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly note your PNR No. 6201015339 has been Regreted by Railways saying that "As per chart Passenger has Travelled, The case is repudiated File No :641/Y/51359/11/12/E4 "
I was really surprised to see how a passenger can travel in two trains running mostly same times and replied them and also mentioned about the previous Case-I. They the replied as follows:
Dear Customer,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly note that the refund amount of Rs. 387/- against PNR No 6201015339 has been refunded to your account on 02-Dec-2011. For another refund we have sent letter to CR Railway on 9-December-2011 stating that 'Passenger Not Travelled.', so please reopen the case and grant the refund as per rule. As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account. With regards, TDR PROCESS TEAM
However, till now I have not received any refund in my account.
Kindly take some action to stop these activities and to refund money as per rule.
