irctc works pathetic..today i was trying to book a tatkaal ticket from pratapgarh(pbh) - bhopal(bpl) and evry thng completed even i paid also from sbi debit card but irctc stoped and error came i had lost my 3 transactions and in return i havnt got any ticket what to where to..i am just speechless....

Though IRCTC, in view of recent complaints have disallowed Tatkaal Ticket booking for Agents between 8 AM to 9AM, but still it is not possible for anyone, to do Tatkaal booking through internet, since IRCTC servers are being manipulated and are down for almost 2 hours, everyday i.e till 10AM.
Probably this is done by Railways employees only, for Agents . The IRCTC server will not connect at 8AM and even rarely if connected there will be Service Unavailable ticker.
Request please take up with IRCTC

As I can see the posts on Tatkal booking through IRCTC. This is true. Service of IRCTC has been in pathetic situation. I had to book 3 tickets in BBS Rajdhani Express.When I check status before 8:00 am it was found that the no. of seats available was 60. But soon when Time crossed 8:00 am for 3-5 minutes Server became unresponsive. At around 8:06 am when I checked the available seats has been reached WL/30. That means 90 seats booked within 3 minutes....Which was surprised me. Even One of my friends tried to book the same at the Railway counter itself standing 1st in the line. But The same story again...

I suppose may be some of the railway staff are being involved in this regarding the seat consumption. In this scenario if you ask to a proffessional broker or travel agents. They give the same easily and they charge extra Rs. 500-700 and get the ticket done.

I would request this should not happen with IRCTC. (Like seat unavailability, Server Down etc. etc.). I think agent booking should be banned. So that general public can get the facilities....

i have been trying to book tatkal tickets from ernakulam jn to hazrat nizammudin.its pathetic the way things are.although the ticket counter opens at 8 a.m the list as soon as its accessible, goes suddenly waiting list within a sec of access.even though railway boasts about corruption action and stuff but still people are degrading things.there are people,agents who might do this.its really disappointing to say that within a second the list of every class of travel goes waiting list.its impossible as far as in execution.
the irctc server is a big trashcan.it gets too slow down during access therby reducing the chances of getting tickets.things are almost not tolerable.if this way things go then they must stop tatkal services if they are only keeping it for agents..
the genera; quota also is prone to this,with heavy waiting lists and things,people will slowly stop relying on railways.so strict action must be taken against them

They made the website for convenience, so that citizens can book tickets online. But this is only possible if the website works its a joke how the website stops working everyday at sharp 8:00AM even the Sarkari Babu's are not that Punctual.
