Subject : Regarding Ticket Cancellation


Myself Dhananjay mishra
my reservation ticket was miss on dated 01-11-2010 at delhi
when i went for duplicate ticket at Tughlakabad ( new delhi) railway reservation counter
counterstaff told me my Ticket had cancelled.
Accourding to RTI I want to know how railway employee cancelled my ticket without my permission
I want immediate solution of my above problem otherwise i am going to consumer forum against Railway.

According to RTI I want to know how railway employee cancelled my ticket without my permission
I want immediate solution of my above problem otherwise i am going to consumer forum against Railway.

Subject : Regarding Refund Claim of PNR No 824-9067498

Dear Sir,

I, Mr Jayantilal K Gada would like you to draw attention to this mail. My reservation ticket was in waiting list (2 AC) for date of journey 08-11-2010 from Bandra Terminus to Bhuj in Kutch Express. Since my relative expired, I booked another ticket & travelled through different class due to urgency. Meanwhile due to shortage of time I couldn’t cancel the ticket and had to leave urgently.
On return when I went for cancellation of my ticket at Ghatkopar East Railway Reservation Counter, the counter staff told me that my Ticket has to be submitted within 12 hours for cancellation but as I was in a funeral of my relative at bhuj and I only returned back after four days which was mentioned to them. Thereafter I was told to submit my ticket at CCM counter (Churchgate station) for the refund. I did the same by applying to the CCM of the Railways but the CCM office sent me a post reply stating that no refund will be given as the cancellation was to be made within 12 hours. On the form also the reason for late claiming of refund was mentioned but the CCM has denied it.

Firstly I couldn’t travel in a Wait List ticket of a higher class. Secondly no refund rules are mentioned on the ticket. Thirdly on enquiry at Ghatkopar the refund was to be claimed from CCM. Fourthly it was claimed and denied though the ground was genuine. Kindly disperse the refund else I will be forced to take further legal action against the railways for the denial and not extending co – operation in this matter.
