Dear sir,
I made Railway reservation in AC 3 Tier at Kanchanjunga express No- 15658 from Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri for 3 persons. My PNR No was 6360509564. My boarding station was Guwahati station which was supposed to be depatred at 10-30 pm on 02.10.2011. From Railway enquiry No 139 it was announced that It was 4 hour 30 Minuites Late and would be departed at 03-00 am of 03.10.2011. From 12 noon of 02.10.2011 I contacted with 139 enqury at the intrval of every 30 minutes and the same announcement was made. Even at 10-20 pm it annouced that the train would be departed at 03-00 hr of 03.10.2011. But at 11-15 hr of 02.10.2011 it announced that the train had departed at right time (10-30 pm) to my utter surprise.Consequently i missed the train, and subsequently I lost my flight to Kathmandu ( both ways) due to irresponsible announcement by Indian Railways. Not only in Enquiry -139, even in the web side, ie indianrailgovt.in, the same announcement was continued till 10-20 pm. Had it been announced at 10-20 pm that the train would leave in right time, I could have avail the the train at Kamakhya the next station to Guwahati. I had to incur not only a great amount monitory loss, but also lost my mental peace for few days.
So I request you why Indian Railways should not compensate the loss incurred by me due to its silly & irresponsible activity
