Angry Disappointed with meru cabs,bangalore complaint against negligence and poor service

Dear Sir/ Mam,

This is to bring to your notice that I am a frequent customer and a traveler of Meru cabs, Iam working as an Export Manger in Sonarome International and I happen to handle the whole Asia pacific region,So my Job involves travelling abroad, I usually book the meru cab 24 hrs prior,and on 2nd aug 2010, I book a cab from Nandi durga road to Bangalore international airport at 5 am sharp,thinking Cab will arrive by 4:30 and it will reach my place by 5 am,As i had an international flight from Bangalore to Kolkatta and kolkatta to Dhaka,bangladesh.
I found to my notice that the concerned pre visit call from the driver and the message of the driver details never turned up to my phone,the time was passing and it reached 5:10 am, I even called the customer care and they were keeping me hold for few minutes,In loss of answer and negligence from the customer care department,The executives start disconnecting my call, I even tried with Easy cabs,but they require at least 30 minutes to book a cab,I was totally in a panicking situation where I was left behind like anything.I didnt knew what to do,Because this was my first bitter experience with Meru cabs,I again tried to call the customer care,and i pleaded as my flight time was 6:20 am from kingfisher airlines dt: 2 Aug-10,coz it was early morning so I could'nt find any other alternative source of transport,I walked to the main road of nandi durga road.and I got your cab by 5:30 am after so much of dilema's,I even got a message from Meru that some driver named Dayanand will be comming at 5:10 am,when I called him he said he is unaware of the situation and no one informed him and he is currently in Kormangla for which he vehemently opposed to come even when I offered him extra money,But somehow I got another Meru cab at 5:30 am,and finally I reached airport by 6:10 am ,It came to my notice by the staff members of Kingfisher airlines that I cant board the flight as its too late,I begged and pleaded in front of their staff,but they didnt agree,After so much of exercise and mental pressure I book another Jet airways to kolkatta ,Since it was my business trip ,the travel expense was paid by my company which I lost it,I had to pay some 8000 Indian rupees to book Jet air which was paid from my pocket only.This kind of service was not expected from Meru cabs,Bangalore,Because of that 30 minutes,I lost so many things My next step will be a complaint registered in the name of Meru cabs for negligence and Loss of my flight in Consumer court.

My Losses:-

1. Loss of time.
2. Missed my official Important international meeting.
3. Loss of money ranged to 8000 INR.
4. Loss of energy.
5. Mental instability.

As I was a frequent traveler of your service,I thought of Informing you before raising a complain in the consumer court,As I am very disheartened with your service, Your Logo/Punch line states that "Rely on us" but I dont think now i can rely on u.I am also going to raise my voice through blogs by optimizing in Internet and various search engines .My previous company was CNBC news channel,so Iam much acquainted having media friends.
If possible remit my losses,I will be producing the required documents like the cancellation of Kingfisher ticket and booking new Jet Airways on demand.
Feel free to contact me on 9986646631 anytime.
Looking for an immediate action,My complaint number has my mobile number as my reference.
I even mailed them this to the concerned department at feedback.blr@merucabs.com, No one have yet apologized and done something, Iam sure the Government of Karnataka will help in this matter and save the public.

Angry Meeru is the worst

I booked a meeru cab today , i even got a confirmation via an sms giving me the cabbys cell number and cab details , we were waiting at the pick up point from 11 pm to 12 am, we called the driver he did not answer, when we rung the call centre he only cut a sorry figure, all efforts of tracking the cab were in vain

i am shocked how casual the Meeru company can be to say we are sorry we depend on the drivers will,

i will take it up with the consumer forum,

with some help we managed to get an auto and the whole night mare of traveling from the deserted suburbs was scary for two girls..

Meeru is a strict no no, for all you lonely traveller s have a PLAN B as a back up..

Thumbs down meeru cab guys should be beaten up

We were left in the lurch even after been given a confirmation of the cab to arrive at the designated place, Why should i bear with the tantrums and lame excuses of the organization . They should make it mandatory for cash compensation for not fulfillment of their promises ..

execution and effeciency are two new words for meeru,

a forum where are issues with the Cab operators like Meeru should be addressed.

Default Rash Driving by Meru Cabs

On Thursday, 21st April, 2011, at 10.15am, on the Jakkur Aerodrome service road a Meru cab driver returing from the BIAL airport tried to overtake us and nearly rammed into our car, he was nasty and aggressive, and when questioned-- he was very abusive and drove off.
The can Number is-- KA 536280.
I was under the impression that Meru cab company regulated the rash driving by its drivers but I guess its not doing much judging by the arrogance of the drivers. I have decided never to take Meru cabs in the future.

Default Harrasment by Meru Cab

I along with my wife & small daughters boarded a Meru cab on 24th April at 6 PM from Bangalore Airport to HSR Layout. I had 3 checking bags+4 small cabin bags. The luggage was kept in side the cab.
We boarded the Meru Tata Marina cab no 4139, Driver Id 51788. After driving 10 KM, I asked the driver to switch on the AC but he arrogantly refused saying the luggage is more. When I asked the limit of luggage, he started giving some of the other reason and finally told me to speak to Meru office at 08044224422. I called & spoke to Customer Service who directed me to Shiva. As per Shiva, there is no such rule (The conversation is recorded). I am a frequent traveler across many countries and cities & have never come across this sort of issue and poor service. In Kolkata I used a similar car in the afternoon to go to airport & had no issue at all.

The driver was arrogant & was encouraging me to lodge complaint. It seems he had lot of grievances against Meru Management. He gave me in writing behind the bill that he did not switch on the AC. He made me speak to some one called Anand Kumar from Meru who too told me to file a complaint but refused to help.
We had gone through this hassasement & mental agony for almost 2 hrs. I am demanding an apology and compensation from Meru.
I am anyway filing a complaint in consumer court & also approaching my lawyer for filing a harassment case.
In case there is any such rule; why the Meru Supervisor who got me this cab did not inform me at Airport? Why driver not object seeing the luggage or inform me about the rule? (The fact is it was normal luggage which came in the cab easily)
Why is this rule not displayed in the cab?

Default Seems like a problem in Bangalore

I had a similar problem in Bangalore.
Booked a cab from Majestic to Kathriguppe.
Got an SMS with the driver details. Driver did not turn up.
Called the driver. He said he was not aware and cannot come.

iHi i my name is ANIL i had booked meru cab on 21st july from mira road to wadala the car broke down i had to push d car & ac was also not working however i was charged the full amount according to ac rates. I called the meru customer care to file d complaint i was promised compensation but i have still not recd wht i was promised i have called more than 15 times i am always promised a call back which is not deliver and its almost a month since u filed d complaint. So i would request never book meru cab it sucks big time.

Thumbs down Disgusting most and horrible Meru Cab service - Bangalore

IT IS A SHIT SERVICE !!!

I request every sensible person in Bangalore who has a bit respect towards their hard earned money, not to hire a Meru cab ever.
I am a recent victim of Meru cab service Bangalore.

Scene 1. I booked the cab from Murgespalya to New airport through mobile calling Meru Customer care number at 3.30 pm and asked for a cab by 5 pm. They told they don have a cab in service by 4.30, they can send early by 4.15 pm. I said ok. I asked the customer care executive about the general fare just to get an idea how much it comes, he told 15/mtr it comes as 600 Rs. like that. I asked him if any extra charge is applicable as I am booking 1 hr before, he said a polished and streached NO and said that nothing apart from 15/rs per mtr charge.

Scene 2. : The driver (Ganesh) called by 4 pm and asked route, he neither knows English nor Hindi. Somehow I explained him route with great difficulty. He told he has some pick up at Indiaranagar and can come only by 4.30 pm . That crack fellow came by 4.45 after ringing him 3 times.

Scene 3: I asked driver to take the normal MG road, he told in half English half kannada it would be traffic jam, he cant take that route. I repeatedly insisted him to take that route, he kept on muttering something in Kannada and did not pay any heed to. Readers, please note: traffic jam in Bangalore is at top only by 5.30 pm, whereas it was 4.45 pm when we started. That rowdy driver was so disgusting, I thought of calling customer care service that point of time, but had to reconsider thinking of flight time of my parents.

Scene 4: The driver Ganesh took his easy comfortable bypass roads (went through Hennur and all those outskirt places), lastly when he dropped us to airport the charge was 725/- (ya 25/- was charged extra by meru cab service demanding that I booked cab 30 mins before which is utterly wrong). He was not giving us time even to get down and was hurrying up like anything. I told him I am not giving you the amount, you didn come through the route I told and you cant make me pay extra bucks for a stretched route. I was holding 750/- in my hand and was taking out 600/- of that to give him. In a blink of eye, he snatched the money from my hand and drove away. I tried to catch him through airport traffic, no gain.

The funniest part of Meru service: I logged a complaint at that very moment to Meru customer care reporting the driver's behavior and asking for the extra charge justification. They took my mail id etc... etc... , 4 days over, no reply from them.

Thumbs down Meru cab Bangalore - never in lifetime

I am a recent victim of deadly poor Meru cab service and their hyper arrogant driver. Its a mental trauma to get such service and driver. I have decided never to take Meru Cab anytime in Future. Better I will take pain to go to the BIAL bus stoppages.

Default the worst service

hi,
I booked meru cab yesterday(11/28/2011) from koramangala to SBC(railway station). The pick time was 18:15 hrs. While booking they said i'll receive cab details 20mins prior to pickup time, which i received only at 18:20 hrs. I called up customer care and they said driver is on the way and he'll reach by 18:30, apparently the driver didn't turn up till 19:15. I kept on calling him and he just made some excuse or another. I ended up taking an auto at 19:30 and finally couldn't catch my train.

This is the worst ever service i have seen. If you guys cannot make up then you should not even take bookings. These guys don't even bother to inform. These just have one word to say "sorry".
Really bad service.
