Today (22nd May, 2010) I was supposed to attend a colleague's wedding reception. I booked a four hour package in the afternoon and the pick up time was 6.45p.m.Rulewise they are supposed to send the cab number or they are supposed to send us a cancellation sms if the cab is not available 30 minutes before the pick up. When I didnt get any cab number or cancellation sms even 20 minutes before the pick up, i started calling them in order to know my status. After waiting in the queues for 10 minutes, each time when we finally got to talk to the customer care representative, they were putting me on hold saying that they would give me status in one minute. Two and three times, it happened that the customer care representative putting me on wait for 10 minutes didnot get back to me and out of frustration I disconnected the line. Till 7.57p.m I didnt get to know the status of my cab. Additionally, one customer care representative without even bothering to discuss with us booked another cab in my name for 7.30. By God's grace and Easy Cab's kindness, I could connect to one customer care representative at 7.57 p.m and when I wanted to know the status of my 1946 booking ID cab, he regretfully said that my cab has been cancelled. Their unprofesstionalism ruined my entire programme for the evening and made me immensely devastated mentally as I couldnot attend the ceremony. Had they been professional enough to let me know the status of my cab at 6.30 or 6.45, I could have arranged for some other ways to go, but at around 8 o'clock at night, it was difficult to arrange an alternative transportation and attend the reception.
