My mother, aged 65 booked a taxi from Guru Citicab, rajajinagar to travel rajajinagar to bannerghatta road. She was traveling alone and had a couple of pieces of luggage. The fare on the meter would be around 240 rupees (my mother has done this journey before) However the taxi driver charged her Rs.400. Not only did he refuse to help her load luggage at the start of the journey, he also abused her and said things like 'you are hoarding your money, where as i have a huge loan to pay off...and hence deserve the Rs.400'. All of us have loans and problems..but because of that we going to try and get free money from old helpless people?? Also when i called citicab to complain, they didnt really take my complaint seriously and didnt really take any action on the driver. I called up several times to follow up.
